Poor service, mediocre food, good bubble tea. I placed an order online from the link provided on New Leaf Pho's website, showed up 30 minutes later to pick up the food, and was told that my order was "missed" because I didn't order through a food delivery service. I told them that it was OK and that I'd come back later but would like a discount. The woman working told me I'd get a 15% discount, which was fine. I came back 30 minutes later, received only a 10% discount, paid, and brought my food home. Upon opening the bag, I noticed I did not receive the side order of rice that is advertised to come with the entree I ordered.
I ordered for myself and my lady: shrimp fried rice, chicken egg foo young, and two bubble teas. The shrimp fried rice was overloaded with bean sprouts and was bland. I had never eaten egg foo young before and I will not order it again after trying it here. The egg foo young was supposed to come with the side of rice that was not included. The bubble teas are great and just as good as other bubble teas in the area. However, on the New Leaf Pho's online order site, the tapioca/jellies are required to be added and for an additional cost, rather than be included with the already-expensive base cost -- this is contrary to what is implied on the website, that the initial serving of tapioca/jellies is free with added servings costing extra.
I do not recommend this restaurant. Before New Leaf Pho, this restaurant was called Phoenix Orchard. Early on, about a year ago, Phoenix Orchard's food was great and our favorite in the area. Since early 2020, the food quality degraded to the worst I've had in the county. We hoped the New Leaf Pho rebranding would have helped, but it just put a new name on the same disappointing quality of both...
Read moreThe only good thing I can say about this place was our waitress was very pleasant. That is why I gave 1 star. So unless you like your Mongolian beef to taste so sweet it taste like you are eating a spoonful of sugar with every bite instead of spicy, your sweet and sour chicken to taste like it was water down by adding a lot of vinegar and water with a little sweet and sour taste, your garlic chicken wings to taste like someone dumped a cup full of salt on the whole batch of wings and the house special chow mein that came with 2, yes 2 small shrimp. When I asked if any rice came with the meal I was told, "due to the situation and the economy at hand, rice does not come with the meal, it would be 2 dollars for each small cup of rice. It should of been a red flag to us when we went in there at 4 p.m. on a Friday and we were the only ones there. So to conclude we spent 70 dollars (that did not come with rice) for a barely edible meal and an owner that obviously is trying to cut corners and the food. We will definitely not be back. Especially when the owner did not care to hear...

Barkeep Dusty is a gem. Nice lady who wants you to be happy. She works hard. Rice costs extra, very weird. Prices are otherwise decent. Portions vary.. Sometimes I've been disappointed but many times I've been thrilled. The Banh Mi sandwiches are epic! I've had authentic Banh Mi prepared at the most popular authentic Vietnamese restaurants, and they're just okay. Banh Mi at New Leaf combine the best of authentic Vietnamese sandwiches and, because they give you Pho broth for dipping, the best of French Dip sandwiches. This is the only restaurant where I'm willing to pay for a sandwich. You can't make something this good at home, and you'll be hooked after your first bite. The locals who patronize the Lounge side during the daytime tend to be colorful. Meet a friend here and you'll have a good time. Just skip business lunches with uptight clients.
All told, New Leaf is reliably enjoyable if you're not demanding fine dining but you want your dining to...
