From the first time I called Restoration 1, they were kind and came out quickly to access the damages that were done to our home and they collaborated with our insurance company to make this restore as smooth as possible. First is John he was the first on the seen. John is such a man of God and he was so kind and provided helpful information to us about our insurance that truly was a blessing the whole entire restore process. Thank you John. Next up Antjuan, this man showed up and had showed out, he is very professional and he is personalable and he communicated with us through the whole process. When I tell you this man went ABOVE AND BEYOND for my family and I, I’ll be FOREVER GRATEFUL. I love his faith in God and he has beautiful faith and core values that sets him apart from the rest. In working with Antjuan there were many contractors that did different jobs on our home and he truly sent us the best of the best. John and his team did the first half of our demo, they did an amazing job and cleaned afterwards. The second demo that was done was the same results those guys came in, very professional and kind and did not leave any debris or mess. The contractor who built our cabinets at Corner Stone Cabinets with Chief Koczrowski and his team were very kind and did a beautiful job on our cabinet rebuild and made us feel like family. We went from prefab cabinets to real wood custom built and they are beautiful and will last a lifetime. Thank you R&G Cabinets and Countertops for the beautiful quartz countertops you put in our home, it really elevated our space and now I have bigger countertops than before which makes cooking with my husband and 3 boys so much more easier. Juan and his team with JC Drywall and Painting worked on the installation and sanding of the new drywall, painting of the cabinets, walls and ceiling. The attention to detail these men had in every step of their process is unmatched and also the paint job itself is truly beautiful. Juan and his team were also so kind and clean. Thank you Reliable Plumbing for coming a day earlier than expected to do my plumbing and thank you to the electrician Tim Huff with Huff Electric that came and accommodated my request to move my plug outlets and switch to my dishwasher. Thank you Jeyson for coming out and helping level my cabinet doors. Thank you to Frannie and her team for coming into my home and cleaning my home after the restore job was complete. You ladies were very kind and did a beautiful job cleaning my home. You truly out did yourselves and I’m truly grateful and being 5 months pregnant I truly needed the help. Thank you David for not just being the owner of the company but for making time to come to my home and discuss the rebuild plan. David you were professional and personable and kind and you and Antjuan listened to me I only wanted 2 things more than anything on my rebuild and that was a flat one surface island and real countertops instead of tile and boy did y’all deliver, thank you so much. Last but certainly not least thank you Victoria and Anna for being in the office and handling all the scheduling and making sure that we were paid up on time so everyone that helped us could get paid, thank you! I have to begin with how incredibly grateful my husband and I feel toward the Restoration 1 of EBR team. Just five weeks before our wedding day, we were jolted awake around 3:30am by the sounds of a roaring fire spreading from the house next door. We had just minutes to get our pets and ourselves outside to safety and seconds to move our vehicles. I had taken bridal portraits earlier that week, and my wedding dress happened to be at the cleaners. Our home took on massive damage, and basically was taken down to the studs and rebuilt. Not long after the sun came up, Antjuan of Restoration 1 pulled up in his work truck. His relatives live nearby and called to tell him their neighbors needed help. Before we knew it, he was standing in front of our house, ready to help. In the middle of all the chaos, talking with someone calm, collected, and ready to take charge was exactly what we needed. His crew quickly secured our home, with no time wasted. The whole situation felt overwhelming, but they handled everything (and I mean everything) with love and care as if it were their own home. Frannie, who took charge of recovering and restoring our personal belongings, was incredible. There were a few items I needed for wedding festivities and our honeymoon, and Frannie made magic happen to return those to me quickly. I didn't realize it at the time, but I had a personal connection with Restoration 1 that immediately melted my anxiety away. I knew this is a business I could trust and I absolutely do! Restoration 1 worked directly with our insurance, which took a huge burden off our shoulders. Antjuan kept us informed every step of the way and was always just a call or text away when we had questions or worries. David, the owner, personally checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. You don’t see that level of care very often and it meant so much to us. The rebuild turned our nightmare into something beautiful. We were able to make the house feel even more like our home with personal touches and a fresh paint scheme. The quality of work is fantastic and our home looks better than ever. Even after we moved back in, they never left us hanging. We had a minor emergency on a Friday morning, but we knew exactly who to call! Of course we called Antjuan, and his team was there within minutes to fix it. Woke up at 3:30 AM to chaos. My neighbor's garage fire jumping to our place. Cats freaking out, fire tearing up the side of the house and through the attic. Between the fire and the water from the firefighters, the house was nearly a total loss, eventually stripped down to the studs needing a new roof and second floor frame. A truly terrible situation.

But here’s where Restoration 1 of Baton Rouge, specifically Antjuan, stepped up big time. He was my main point of contact through the entire ordeal. His sister lives down the street, called him immediately, and he was there, introducing himself while things were still unfolding. By 10 AM, his crew was already tarping and securing what was left of our house. That immediate response in a crisis meant everything.

Through the whole process, Antjuan and his team were total pros. He clearly explained how everything worked with the insurance company, making that side of things smooth. The detailed contents recovery was expertly handled! Big thanks to Frannie for managing that; everything was itemized with pictures in a spreadsheet, making the insurance claim process incredibly precise and accurate.

Communication was top-notch. Antjuan was always positive, always available. Anytime I called, he picked up or got back to me with answers within minutes. The crews doing the work were polite, skilled, and professional, and it was reassuring that the owner, David, often came by himself to check on the progress and quality throughout the rebuild. They gave us a timeline and stuck to it. Every stage they completed, the place looked better. Honestly, the quality of the rebuild is impressive, even better than before the fire. We got the house rebuilt exactly how we wanted, even ran new Cat6 ethernet everywhere and got the roof vents rerouted cleanly.

The final result is incredible. But what seals the deal for me is their commitment even after the main job. We had an unrelated emergency issue pop up after moving back in. I called Antjuan, and he had his team at my house fixing it within 15 minutes. Unbelievable.

Seriously, after going through a near-total house fire, I wouldn't trust anyone else in Baton Rouge for emergency restoration. The response time, the professionalism from folks like Antjuan and Frannie, the oversight from David, and the quality of work were all outstanding.
