To get there, take the last light before you hit 61 from siegen, or the first light after you've hit siegen from 61. Take a turn to the side with the mexican strip. It's a little tucked away! You get there and it has ample parking with a very plain face. I came in around 2:15 on a monday. So they were pretty quiet and spooling it up for close. It's clearly an old place but there's a lotta history there. The people running it seem like good folk and I imagine it's hard to have a bad interaction here.
So I ordered some hamburgers, fries, and a patty melt. Got my ticket, n had a seat. At the counter is a big deal of hand sanitizer. At each table is a big roll of paper towels. Which is great because you'll need them. The menu is easy to read and options are priced fairly. Their menu hits a good balance of burgers, strips, seafood, and sides. I didn't get drinks but they have soda and non carbonated offers. Waiting, I saw a table's order come through. It looked super proper. Some really beautiful burgs and tater tots. Damn they looked good.
I got my food in about 20 minutes. I appreciated that it was all labeled. Everything looked good at the house. Burgers are big. Fries are big. The Patty Melt looks really fantastic. I had my Double Hamburger and it was good. Just a lot of food there! Bread is good, meat's tasty, and the toppings are fresh. I'm not crazy over the fries. One of mine was ice cold and mushy. I ran them through my air fryer and they came out fine. I could ask them to double fry it in the future.
Overall it's good food at a great price. Great portions for your moneys. But I'm not crazy about old interiors. Maybe older folks will appreciate it, but I do not. You can scour it clean everyday, but it'll never lookit. But that's really my only knock. I enjoyed my food and they have some really interesting options to choose from. Definitely worth your...
Read moreI had been craving a really good burger lately but none of the usual fast food places even tickled my fancy a little. A coworker suggested Riverside Patty. They told me it was a little hole-in-the-wall burger joint, but the food was delicious. I called to place a to-go order. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger combo with onion tangles and a root beer to drink. The lady that took my order was very polite, asked if I needed anything else and told me it would be about 20 minutes for my order to be ready. I work fairly close so I knew it wouldn't take me long to get there. When I arrived 15 minutes later, my order was already waiting for me. I didn't realize what I'd gotten myself into when I picked up the to-go box and felt the weight of it! When I got back to the office and opened the box, I was almost terrified at the size of the burger! I had to cut it into 4 pieces and squish it so I could eat it. My mouth almost didn't open wide enough. I have got to say that this is the absolute best burger I have had in years! It was perfectly seasoned, cooked right, and still hot when I got to the office. I'm a huge fan of onion tangles so I was pleasantly surprised to see the huge portion I was given with my burger. I shouldn't have done it. I really, really shouldn't have done it. But, I did. I ate the whole thing!! Every. Single. Bite. Gone! I will be happily, miserably stuffed for the rest of the afternoon and probably won't be able to eat dinner tonight. I wish I had taken a picture before I started to show the incredible size of this burger, but I was too hungry to take the time. LOL If you have never been to Riverside Patty, you really need to stop in if you're hungry for a...
Read moreI really dig this place. Many people I have noticed are put off by the curt manner of the gentleman taking orders, but I actually find this ironically endearing. Personally he just comes off to me as all business: give the order so he get it out for you in a timely manner.
Once you behold the generous portions of delectable burger joint fanfare just waiting for you to sink your teeth into, any thoughts or suggestions on how he could improve the bedside manner of his customer service, simply melt away as quickly as the food is disappearing from your plate to your stomach.
I also love this place for its obscure location which gives it a weird speakeasy type feel. In other words, once you find it you realize why you never came across in-bragging rights on how you and the establishment crossed paths one day often make for interesting stories to share around the table.
So I wouldn't change anything about this place. It's awesome and you should make it a point to seek it out and pay it a visit at least once, but chances are you...
