Living Fresh Market — Local services in Proviso Township

I visited this store early morning, several months after it’s original open back in the summerI was really excited to get some fresh fish and some deli selects. I approached the fish section first and considered the salmon. I asked the butcher for the cut and she told me to keep shopping while she cut some fresh for me which I thought was really kind of her.

I circled back to the deli, and asked for honey roasted turkey and Munster cheese. The deli clerk said there was none in the display so she would check in the back. Again, I thought this was very nice, and began to become impressed with the staff.

The store was pretty empty but it was early in the morning so I didn’t think anything of it.

When I made a sandwich the next day with the deli cuts I selected from the day prior, the turkey looked questionable, and the Munster cheese was stuck to the wax paper they package it in. I found this extremely odd, considering I never came across cheese packaged this way before. I smelled it, and it smelled waxy and had some weird film over it.

I will never shop here again! Nothing seems to be fresh about this place. The only thing I am not concede about was the fish since it was sliced directly in front of me.

Wow! What a wonderful experience. People were everywhere. They sold out of most of the greens. The shells were going bare. It was just a total awesome experiences. Pastor, there were people there from other churches and we were socializing and shopping and the restaurant part with the prepared food. That line was so long. It was just a great time. The stores clean. It's nice and comfortable. The temperature is wonderful. It's just time to stir back up. All the supporters were there. A lot of faces I hadn't seen in a long time were there. Wow! It was like a reunion even with some of the people from other churches were there. The parking lot was full. Wow! The carts were all taken. Wow! Just awesome! Amen. This is the cleanest and best stocked grocery store I have ever had the pleasure of shopping at. It exceeds standards and expectations. If you visited prior stores that were in this location that left you unimpressed, just stop in and take a look at how Living Fresh cleaned up and renovated the space. I, too, was hesitant at first because of this. So many food options, regardless of dietary needs. Prices are competitive with many major chain stores, with weekly sales and a rewards program. They have a hot food area with delicious options. I also like how they support small businesses by selling their products. They have regular tasting events where you get to sample many products from these businesses that are also on sale to buy. I can now get Brown Sugar Bakery items without having to travel far. This was a big hit when I took in treats to work. As a comparison shopper, I now make Living Fresh my first stop when needing anything as they usually have it.
