The soft jazz music really brought out the atmosphere of the cafe. The brown and natural colors made the place feel cozy. I think the book rack is a great addition! I ordered an (light ice) Americano and I thought it was bland after awhile. Don't get me wrong--it was okay, but I would have loved for it to be more bitter and have an actual coffee flavor. My mom ordered a latte and she enjoyed it! She liked the latte art as well; however, she ordered another cup of coffee--this time a hot Americano and she received a iced Americano. 1) she was upset that it wasn't hot and 2) the coffee was so diluted and disgusting that she threw it away--this was unfortunate. Overall, it was quiet and welcoming enough for me to attend my Zoom meeting and drink my coffee.

Open 6 am to 6 pm Serving a variety of Whirlwind coffee beans (local Oak Park coffee roasters). Friendly service and decent prices

Went here for a treat with the family. we got a hot chocolate, delicious. White chocolate mocha, i loved it. And a salted Carmel, also a delight. The flavors are well balanced. U get good, strong espresso and your flavor. If you like it extra sweet, i highly suggest u request it. We got 1 beef and 1 chicken empanada. They come with a sauce on the side it's fresh and herbal its a great combination. The empanadas are SO flavorful. The beef has a little heat on it, which is an awesome suprise. We tied things off with the guava Danish, and while the flavors were excellent it felt like we wanted a little more filling. I can honestly say that was my only "problem". Tired of Starbucks? I know I am! I was so happy to find this new cafe near me and figured I would give it a shot. Hot coffee drinks - pumpkin spice late, peppermint mocha, regular mocha - all taste great - which is more than you can say for the chains! The guava and cheese pastry is delicious! All pastries are homemade.

And what was totally unexpected was that the owners: the Silvas are friends from a former job. Ms. Silva was a doctor at a community health center in Chicagoā€™s Latino community for many years. The staff was always in awe of both her dedication to her patients and how great she was to work with.
