When we first moved out here from the East Coast, we went to ReStore for a new (used) toilet (it was thoroughly cleaned), as the toilet in our second bathroom had flow problems. We also got a few items for the kitchen, and a wrought metal windmill to put on our living room wall (it looks wonderful, in a nearly 3D way with the shadows). Habitat For Humanity has done so many great things for the poor and disenfranchised, and I've seen them in action - getting homes rebuilt after hurricanes for the poor. They networked with faith-based charities, and I've seen families who lost their homes have new ones built, literally, in the remains of their damaged ones. Habitat For Humanity is a life-changer for the underprivileged. They give people hope. They certainly helped us with the inexpensive toilet and wall art, as we're on a fixed income. They had custom kitchen cabinets at this location that were hand-built of real wood - no veneers, or laminates - for a fraction of the price that would be paid to have new ones built for a kitchen. If we didn't have good ones in our house, we would have bought the ones there! They were that nice. ReStore is a great alternative to paying retail, and the proceeds from what they sell...
Read moreExtremely disappointed. I will likely not go back. Definitely not to the Pueblo location. We are fixing up a new commercial location in Rocky Ford and made the trip to Pueblo specifically to go to the Restore. The sighn at the door let us know that prices had beed"Pre Haggled" indicating that there would be no negotiations. The items of interest we found , most were priced very near what could be purchased new with warrantee. Others had no price marked. We love the mission of Habitat For Humanity. But there is no value other than donating to a good cause. So we will get our materials elsewhere. I know Jimmy Carter would be devastated to see what this group has done...
Read moreWe walked i. Hoping this would be like the colorado springs restore after moving down here. Couldn't be further from the truth they were extremely over priced. They had the value of the units with the price they wanted you to pay. It felt like they wanted you to have a guilt trip about going to a restore. At the same time they had sofas for $250 and $400... a stove for 1600....they made you know what they wanted you to pay full price for and what they considered a "donation". The arc and goodwill sofas were $75. Severely disappointed. I would rather go an hour out of my way for colorado...
