I guess I will never get to find out what this store is really like in person. I called and asked if I could drop off 6 in season new articles of clothing with tags from Macy's, to be donated; for free. I was told I needed an appointment. I gently tried to get across, I simply wanted to donate them; I wanted no money. I tried to explain I only go out to Putnam once a week and when I was planning on going out again; when I was cut off and told to bring them to the ARC in Woodstock. I guess because I did not want any compensation for them, she thought they were worthless. Retail on the tags was over $300. I was a little taken aback as I was not expecting that. The ARC was more than delighted to take them. I am hoping KK employees are nicer to the walk-in customers buying, but they should be just as kind to the folks that call as well. Peace P.S. The owner claims below there was confusion, there was NO confusion on my part, how hard was it for the clerk to understand, "I want to donate $300 worth of new clothes with tags, I do not want any money for them, I would like to drop them off".
