We stopped here on our way back to New York after spending a week in Rhode Island. In my experience, most panasian restaurants are average at best since they don't excel at any one cuisine and I should have realized that a Thai restaurant that also serves sushi is a big red flag. I ordered hot basil chicken. It was stir fried vegetables with some generic sauce from a jar. It was too sweet, not spicy at all, and had barely any basil. Pad Krapow Gai should have handfuls of basil in it. It also had some hard bit in it that looked like a rock or a bone. Good stuff. The jasmine rice was also really dry. I'm Filipino and eat rice almost daily. Whoever made this rice needs to add more water. I didn't try any of my wife's sushi, but she commented that I wouldn't have liked it based on how the rice tasted. I'm not sure what she meant by that, but I took her word for it.

Stopped in for dinner and drinks tonight. The food was great and I had a pretty yummy cocktail too ( a mango drink made w fresh mango puree called a piccachu. I had drunkin noodles and my husband and daughter had sushi. It was all very yummy. We finished off with fried oreos, which was lightly coated in the dough that they eoukd typically use on fried ice cream. So it was not super heavy and was good to split between the 3 of us bc there was 5 pieces. The food and drinks here are very good and I think the prices are very reasonable. Our waitress was also very attentive and pleasant.

I placed an order online. The timeframe ASAP of 50 minutes was given. As I. Live within 5-10 minutes, I headed to pick up my food. I went in and there was another patron picking up food. The young man at the front was explaining how the online ordering says 50 minutes for their busy nights but tonight wasn’t very busy. After the patron left, I gave the young man my name. He gave me my food. I felt the bag and the food was cold. I asked how long it sat there. 20-30 minutes? He said he did not know. I noticed about 5 more orders sitting there. I asked if your online says 50 minutes for busy nights but this not busy and the food comes out quicker, why don’t you call and let us know. Our number is included in the order. He just shrugged and did not care. I told him I wanted my money back and he could keep the cold food. He went in the back and the manager/owner (I assume) came out. I told her my food was cold. She said it was not. I asked her how long did it sit there to get cold, 20-30 minutes? She disagreed. I asked why no one called to say it was ready sooner. She didn’t know that answer. She took my food and heated it up. Gave it back to me and said that when they are not busy, they will call customers to let them know their food is sitting there. So, in the meantime the young man takes a call for a to go order and tells the customer their food will be ready in 20 minutes. So I looked at him and said 20 minutes. So my food did sit there for over 20 minutes. Unfortunately no one cares. As long as they take your money, they do not care. I won’t be coming back. Moral of the story, call and place your order, do not place...

Depends on the day you go there. Most times you are one of two or three customer groups -- and while apparent staff wander aimlessly, you sit and wait for service. Staff say it's because of their rotating system. If so, it's a damned unprofessional system. If I order chardonnay, I have to wait as if they had gone to France to get it. My friend ordered a Seven & Seven. She got a tall glass of Mountain Dew. The bartender (???) had no clue that it should contain Seagram's Seven whiskey. A Bartender's Guide would be helpful if they're too cheap to train staff (or to hire trained staff). There appear to be no cocktail glasses, highball glasses, or anything but pint glasses (except for wine glasses which are embarrassingly large for the little wine they give you). And I haven't even gotten to the food yet!

If two people order entrees, one should not be finishing before the other is served. Serve the two together!!!

If I order sashimi deluxe, I want all I am paying for. Last time I had to request three missing pieces. Even though my order specified "nothing chewy" the sushi chef tried to make up this deficit with three pieces of octopus! Really?

There need to be experienced, mature people on every shift (i.e. management) to watch over the service and tstaff.

I will continue to come here since it's really the only game in town. No place else serves such great sashimi, house soup, or shrimp tempura.

Also, the wait staff is friendly, polite, and tries very hard with what it has to work with.

But some grown-up dining music would be pleasant. And the TV belongs in the bar, not over...

I've eaten here 5 or 6 times over the past couple of months. What's weird is that whenever I suggest Thai Basil to my friends they kind of make a funny face - it's like this place has a bad rap for some reason. I don't get it.

The food I've gotten has been great. My order has always been correct. The prices are honestly fantastic for the things I order. I usually get vegetable sushi rolls and tofu curries. I think the curry dishes are like $10, and they come with rice. A massive, filling, flavorful dish - for $10...where else can you get that nowadays? The sushi I've ordered has been very tasty, with a lot of great options to choose from. The food isn't ready quickly - usually it's like 45 minutes after I order - but who cares? Good things take time. So I just order accordingly, then pick it up when it's time.

So really, I have nothing bad to say about this place, and definitely recommend it, at least for take-out. I haven't dined in, but I can't see why the dine-in experience should be anything different than the great take-out experience I've had. Highly recommend giving this...
