Let me start with just WOW! Ive been following this lil bakery on social media for several years. I love the owners motto if you need something, just ask and we will give you bread no questions asked". We live about 90 min away so my husband and I made a day trip of it. I called ahead bc I Needed to try the pepper jack Cabot bread. We walked in and were overwhelmed with the choices. We decided a little of everything, we got bignets. Red berry marscapone, pb lava cake and a reg lava cake whoopie pies muffin, and brownie. The bignets were the best I've ever had and were gone before the car started. Then the brownie was next, so moist and tender and fudgy so delicious. I waited all day and when we got home I broke into the bread and my husband and I ate 6 slices saying "oh yeah that's good". Overall this place is amazing, you can't go wrong with anything. If anything it makes you wonder "have they put nutella in the bignets? Have they tried making a pumpkin spice swirl bread?" Regardless we will be back...
Read moreSoleil Bakery ROCKS! I ALWAYS make a point to stop by at least once whenever I'm in CT. Last visit, I was there twice and got the Cheddar Chive biscuits (one for me, one for my son) and the GF berry (?) Marscapone dessert for my daughter (her favorite item). I've also had the Vegan cupcakes, as well as the MOST AMAZING BREAD EVER! I think Bill calls it "Antipasto" bread. Everything at Soleil is amazing! I would say that the Cheddar Chive Biscuits and the Antipasto Bread are my top pix. My son LOVED the Cheddar chive biscuit, too! Can't wait to stop by in April when I'm back in the Quiet Corner visiting my family. Thanks, Bill for posting the best pix of your items on social media. I always like, share, and comment. Makes my friends here in Huntsville,...
Read moreAlways a stop at the Coventry Farmers Market. My favorite is the ginger molasses cookie! Always a great selection, fair prices and helpful staff. Recently, I saw a post that if people were having tough time, and needed a little pick me up they could stop at the bakery for a free coffee and free muffin. The post also said no questions asked the muffins will be wrapped over by the coffee. Please help yourself. I instantly thought this kind gesture can mean so much to someone who is struggling. I will go out of my way to continue to support the small business and encourage others to do the same. Clearly the people who run this business are doing what they love that they’re happy to share it with...
