I've played golf for more than 50 years and have never been shaken down for more green fee cash while in the middle of my round. That is, until I played this golf course. Before teeing off late Sunday afternoon, we asked the three disinterested women working in the pro shop for the twilight rate. We paid our $30 and played the first nine holes. While crossing over to tee off on number one again (it's a nine hole course), a man identifying himself as the course marshal told us it would cost another $5 each, payable to him as the pro shop was closed. We explained we had paid the twilight rate to play until dark. He told us that on weekends, it costs another $5 to play a second nine. We told him we just wanted to play a couple more holes. He told us to leave and, if we had a problem, to contact the pro shop the next day. One thing people should know about this course: It's like a private playground for residents of the neighboring trailer park. They play in large groups using their own carts. We saw a sixsome on the night we played. Many don't wear shirts or shoes or show much etiquette. They park on the tee boxes and drive over the greens. And the course marshal ignores their antics, likely because he's one of them. He doesn't ignore the visitors who keep this place afloat financially. Visitors must follow the rules and fork out more and more money. This is not a professionally operated course. Some would say it's a bit of a joke. If you decide to play, make sure you carry a little extra cash for...

Was told that our 6 year old that was with us was not allowed to get out of the golf cart or we would be charged for a junior golfer and we had to be back by 5 sharp. Have never been charged for taking our son along at any other golf course I have ever been to including private country clubs. Made the experience so unsatisfying we left without golfing. Have had so many pleasant experiences with public recreation managed by the pud that I had hoped for better things. I can understand the time constraints but rudeness was...
Read moreCourse and grounds were good. There's a couple really nice/challenging greens. The Wednesday $20 unlimited is a good deal except for $15 cart for the first 9 and $10 each 9 after that. Also, be aware that carts aren't rented out after 3 p.m. summer schedule, so even if the course isn't busy and you can get done well before their 530 cutoff, you cannot have a cart on any day including Wednesdays. Golfing experience I'd give a 4 but policies a 2. I will say that the folks in the office were pleasant and I enjoyed...
