Kevin did a great job with our Bourbon Tour today! He puts himself in your shoes and ensures the experience mirrors what he would expect as a guest. The tour curator suggested an itinerary that would not have been a good experience and right away Kevin stepped in and told them we need to adjust the agenda without me asking. The changes kevin helped make resulted in a great tour where we had more than enough time at each distillery to enjoy every part, from the tours to tastings to the gift shop. Kevin had connections at the distilleries which allowed us to bypass lines and other check-ins, again giving us maximum time to enjoy the experience. He walked us through each distillery showing us where things were so we could navigate. When we bought bottles Kevin brought boxes and carried the bottles back to the van so we did not have to walk around with them during other parts of the tours. Kevin also brought water and snacks, made stops we requested where needed, made it easy for us to hookup our music, and still got us everywhere on time. He kept the bus cold for us and that was surely appreciated by all on a hot day. My group is raving about what a great time they had on this tour and that would not be possible without Kevin. If you are doing a tour you won’t be disappointed with Kevin as your guide!!!
Thank you Kevin for a great day!!!
I will leave one piece of feedback that the actual tour curator (Bourbon Hall Tours)could improve a bit on communications. I found my agenda had changed from communicating with Kevin but the company never called or emailed me to tell me this. I also found myself asking for information more times then being proactively given info. Lastly I had a guest cancel close to the tour date and asked if those excess non-refundable funds could be given to the driver as a tip they said no, it’s not fair to their company, etc which I didn’t care for. I am not sure how much they pay their drivers (like Kevin) but I think requests like that should be honored in the future considering these tours are not possible without drivers and they are not paid much from what I understand.
All things considered I would use this company again for a tour and would greatly...
Read moreWe hired this tour for 6 of us to visit the Kentucky bourbon trail. We were given an itinerary for 4 stops, 2 including tours and tastings and lunch. First stop at Buffalo Trace we couldn’t even go in the gift shop due to the lines. No drinks, nothing at all. Next we went to Wild Turkey which was completely empty and the tour is only a power point due to Covid. They changed our lunch and took us somewhere else without telling us. We asked to go to our original lunch spot and the driver said no it would be too busy. Spoiler, we drove by it later and it wasn’t packed at all. Next we stopped at Castle and Key which was a beautiful place and bought a drink and then back on the bus. Each time we got in it was stifling hot and and the driver didn’t keep the air on for us or cool it prior to getting in. Finally, the only place we were excited to visit, Woodford Reserve for our tour and tasting. They did not have a reservation for us. Somehow the driver spoke to “Bob” at the bourbon hall tours who said “sorry” and he would buy us each a drink. Not only did we only wind up with one tasting for $1,300 we also had a driver who was a bit invasive and constantly following us. It would have been more professional to allow us to enjoy time on our trip together than feel obligated to make conversation with the driver at the distilleries. Even the Woodford Reserve staff mentioned this particular driver has been asked to keep space from your guests. That being said, our driver said he’s never seen a tour so bad with all the issues we were having and we should definitely call Bob and ask for a refund. I have tried contacting “Bob” at least 6 times with voicemails and multiple emails. He will not respond. He has refunded $300 of our original payment which does not seem to be enough for the issues we had and the lack of communication. I don’t know of any business who completely ignores customers. We only had 48 hours in Kentucky to visit and chose this company as it was less than Mint Julep. Lesson learned, do not book this tour and spend more to go to more...

If I could give zero stars, I would. Our experience with Bourbon Hall Tours was nothing short of a nightmare — marked by poor communication, deception, and a complete lack of accountability.
From the start, the communication was sporadic and unclear. We were promised a specific itinerary that included certain distilleries, meals, and timeframes. But without any meaningful notice, those plans were changed. Our lunch was swapped out for another option, and we weren’t informed until it was far too late to make other arrangements. Not to mention, it was to a place that was literally going out of business and a friend of Bob, the owner. It felt deliberately misleading, as if they waited until we were locked in with no choice but to accept the inferior version of what we paid for.
Worse still, when we brought up these last-minute changes and asked for a reasonable explanation or even partial compensation, we were met with silence. No accountability, no apology, no effort to make things right. It was clear they had no intention of standing by their own word or providing the experience they advertised.
Bourbon Hall Tours doesn’t just drop the ball — they bury it, pretend it never existed, and blame you for asking about it. If you're looking for a company that values honesty, professionalism, and customer satisfaction, look elsewhere. This outfit is all smoke and no substance — and in bourbon country, that’s...
