Radford Theatre — Local services in Radford City

I just recently visited this theater for my first time with my wife for a screening of the exorcism. I didn’t know the theater even existed but the ticket prices and the low concession prices are what prompted me to try it out. The movie was also showing in Roanoke but the prices were higher. Overall, for me it was a great visit. I knocked off one star due to the fact the chairs have no cup holders and I was forced to place my drink on the floor which wasn’t the most convenient thing to do but I dealt with it. But other than that it was a nice place. They really should look into installing cup holders in the future but this will not keep me from coming back but it will probably be a while. My wife felt that the seats needed work because some of them were slowly coming apart and she felt that the floors were dirty. But she did like the nice employees there and I agree they were very friendly. I won’t say anything about the movie because everyone has mixed feelings about it so I will leave that alone. Tonight the how to train your dragon movie was awesome. The young man working at the snack counter was not. He wasnt friendly at all. Some one dropped their bucket of popcorn as they were leaving and they started cleaning it up them selves.he came out with the broom and never spoke a word ...never smiled...the girl said to him how are you this evening and he never answered. He acted like they had done it on purpose. They didn't! It was a sweet little family with 2 children and they had a simple accident. He needs to learn how to be nice to the public because they are the only reason that he is getting paid. He needs to realize that they could of went anywhere to the movie but they chose that theatre... very disturbing to watch these young people work at their jobs and not show respect and give friendly service and be grateful that people chose their place of work for their night out!!!! Tasty popcorn, cheap theatre, nice screen and sound quality. However, we bought a medium popcorn and free refills are only premitted for larges. My boyfriend and I were the only ones in the theatre so I found it really ridiculous that they made me pay $1.25 for 1) a refill of popcorn that was barely more than a size small 2) a batch they were gonnna throw out after we left.
