Took a while for me to hear about this place but glad that I finally did. I was surprised about the size of the store, most retro places are tiny and crammed from floor to ceiling you can barely walk around. They have games and accessories from the NES to modern consoles, multiple CRTs hooked up game ready, and an older lady handing out capri suns, bagel bites, and PBJs with the crust cut off. That last one wasn’t true but it’s a dope idea and you know it. I ordered a few games online for pickup and ended up stumbling upon a sweet GameCube bundle, console, 2 controllers, Metroid, memory card, and a Nintendo Power issue, and the owner threw in new AV and Prism Component cables after mentioning I have a Retrolink 5x pro, which… for all the nerds out there… is a snowboard, so not relevant but still pretty rad. I’m not a doctor or anything but I didn’t find the prices confusing or go math cross-eyed at all during my purchase. I’ll wrap up by giving some hella feedback on some of the negs in the comments harshing the review vibes. Uh so like this is a physical store with an actual functioning website you can get a quote or order from that sells new and used original (not repos) products with a 60 day guarantee. So way different than a pawn shop, glad you saved a few bucks Skylar, only a 20% chance your controller gets confiscated as the bludgeoning weapon in a murder trial. Austin, your Pokémon cards were not worth 453 dollars, you picked the highest price you can find online for each one of your crusty cards and just assumed you had gold. Then expected someone else to inventory them, grade them, and sell them for the same bloated amount. Obviously, they weren’t worth your own time so why poo poo the middle man for your own lame cards. Danny carter, PS4 games are not retro and worth very little. Even Amazon shows different prices for the same game on different consoles, why are you struggling? Lastly, David. A brand-new game is $70 dollars now, which is on par or even cheaper than games sold in the 90s. Most of the games I saw and bought were under $30, with exception to the rare, in-box, sealed vintage ones. Its like you don’t have eyes and I hope you’re not blind because I don’t want to be insensitive, but to be fair…someone could have...
Read moreI came to Radford for my sisters graduation, and we went to Blacksburg to get food the evening we came in. Me being the game nerd I am instead of looking up what historical sites are here the first thing I do is look for a gamestore, and being that we where eating in Blacksburg I was thinking they would have a gamestore before Radford would. I was wrong, and completely surprised. I live in Williamsburg, but am originally from Norfolk in Hampton Roads, and we have in the 757 at least 6 different retro game stores in the area between 2 local chains. I will say they are awesome, but I was in awe when I saw the selection of this Super Game Station. The stores in Hampton Roads hace the glitz and the glam, but Super Game Station has an amazing selection. They have just about everything you can think of console wise, and also Japanese games. Japanese Famicom, and Super Famicom along with Japanese Gamecube games, and numerous sountracks for games on cd which is an awesome retro throw back, and something you don't see often. What I'm saying is that compared to the 6 stores in Hampton Roads, this store is like an old western saloon that you expect to be a hole in the wall, and have some rough people there, and a bad selection, but it has amazing wood floors, brick walls, but has the elegant 80's, 90's, earlu 00's feel. With amazing wide range of selection for games, and will definitely give you that nostalgia you want. You wouldn't expect a store like this in a small college town to be this way. When y ou u come to Radford don't come for the history, or land marks. Come for Super Game Station. You won't be...

My son has an old Xbox 360 and he wanted minecraft for it. We called this game store to see if they had it and they did. So I asked if they would trade us the minecraft 360 game for our minecraft xbox one game and they said they would. My son took his Xbox one Minecraft game, PS3 Minecraft, he also took Red Dead 1 for PS3, GTA5 for PS4, Call of Duty Black Ops 3 for PS4, Crash Bandicoot for PS4 and Lego Marvel for PS3. He was hoping he could get a something else too. When he got to the store instead of trading him the minecraft game for his minecraft game they said for all his games they would give him $22 in store credit. I told they cashier about the agreement we made on the phone but he acted like he smoked so much weed all his brain sells were dead except one and it wasn't going to make it through the next hour. When my son found the 360 minecraft game and took it to the check out it cost $25. They did let him get the game but they shouldn't lie to there customers and they really shouldn't let someone that's clearly under the influence of a few drugs run a calculator much less a cash register. They guy at the register should really think about going to rehab before...
