Needed to wash some blankets that don't quite fit in my little piggyback at my apartment, so on a rainy Saturday the wife and I decided to try this place as it seemed quiet and peaceful. And at first it was... We opened the door to a nice woman quietly scrolling through her phone in the waiting area. There was no detergent in the dispenser, and when she noticed our dispair at the situation, she informed us of a dollar general just down the street. (She was super helpful) As we came back and started our process we noticed the only two large machines were in use and the other out of order. We decided to do a few different loads at a time in about three regular washers (it was fine as we had plenty quarters). The nice lady finished her process of washing her laundry and clearly was drying them somewhere else as she loaded them up wet and smiled as she left dripping some water droplets on her way out. (Not a big deal.... At least not for US.) Enter weird older lady... A heavily damaged Prius pulls up parallel parking (on the wrong side of the road) behind my car and almost hit it as she maneuvered in. An oddly dressed woman came clambering out of the Prius loaded to the ceiling with what appeared to be dirty laundry hauling a Walmart bag full of it into the laundry mat. She takes one look at the water droplets on the table and asks "do you know who got the table all wet" my wife told her about the previous customer and the older woman wearing what appeared to be a warm-up coat as a skirt rolled her eyes and continued to load in laundry. About the time she got it loaded in, an older gentleman came from a door labeled "employees only" and removed his laundry from the large machine as she loaded hers in almost like a tag team. She then asks us "do you know the person that got this table wet?" My wife replied "not at all, we're not from here" which made her visibly upset. As she then asked us to move so she could use the table we were occupying. Clearly this lady wanted someone to be held responsible for those water drops and it was us!
This was an adventure for sure. To the owners, you've got a definite vulture infestation and next time we'll be taking our blankets to the...
