EDIT 7/6 Just a reminder, I had no valuable items other than my keys with me in the gym. Rather uncomfortable to be working out legs with your keys digging into your legs, so I put them in one of o2's secure lockers that clearly aren't that clearly aren't that secure. Just also a friendly reminder crunch fitness has the same, if not newer equipment and their top tiered about 40% cheaper than O2's rates. Do not go here if you value the safety of your belongings. Last week I had my car keys stolen out of a LOCKED bag in my locker, air tag removed from set of keys, my car broken into, backpack stolen out of my trunk with my wallet inside. My entire checking account drained before I could finish my workout. Upon requesting to seek footage, having little faith the police would do much, the general manager never even called me back, one of the employees called me back leaving a voicemail telling me there was no camera footage. Upon calling the gym back, I was told there was footage, but it wouldn't show anything. Making the attached screenshot from an earlier review a bold faced lie. If you valued customer service as much as you did pushing the renew wellness. The general manager would've personally given me a call back. It's been a week at this point and if the person who stole my belongings actually signed into the gym, which I'm assuming they didn't, the case would've been solved by now. It's abundantly clear there are no security measures other than hoping the front desk individuals ask you to sign in. I pray no one deranged or someone being stalked ever has the opportunity to enter this gym. Do something to actually solve the problem as opposed to lying to your customers or anyone seeking to attend this gym reading the reviews. EDIT 7/2: After this review was posted, I was reached out to 3 times in one day by the general manager, only after I reached out to her in the first place. The only reason why it was pressing at that moment in time is because upper management at o2 saw the review. I was able to make some headway with the investigation. However, it took 8 days, a scathing review, speaking with the area director Malcom (who went on vacation without having anyone else follow up with me concerning the situation) to speak to someone to make some progress. Leslie, the GM told me she'd just found out about this, when every time I'd called the week prior she'd either been "in a meeting" or "stepped out" I'm familiar with these management call avoidance tactics. Between the o2 fitness HR department, the area director, and general manager it should've never gotten to the point where it took over a week for me to get some communication from someone. I've been attending this gym for the better half a decade and canceled my membership this afternoon. I think o2 would be better off focusing on security measures to ensure guests don't have their belongings stolen, again my keys were in the locker, my bag was stolen out of the trunk of my car, as opposed to pushing their wellness and nutrition programs. Reopen your steam rooms, actually have people at the front desk ensuring everyone entering the gym is a member. You're paying 7-8x what you would at planet fitness for a lesser quality of service with more being pushed at you to buy. This entire experience was beyond disappointing, do not waste your money here.

**UPDATE** The sauna still has not been cleaned. Nicotine pouches are still littered all over the floors and stuck to the walls. The same machines that have been broken are still out of service. You know O2 has seen this and have chosen not to respond or take any action to resolve the issues because they have responded to almost all reviews posted subsequent to this post. Pathetic. As mentioned before: zero ownership and zero accountability. Do better. Original Post: Most disgusting gym I’ve ever seen. The men’s sauna has not been thoroughly cleaned since January 2023. I know this for a fact because I brought to their attention how repulsive it was and witnessed them clean it the next day. After that, I’ve watched the used nicotine pouches and debris accumulate on the floor and on the walls over the past 19 months. The annual commitment to a ā€œdeep cleaningā€ each January means nothing, so feel free to ignore those signs in the gym when you see them. I promise, those nicotine pouches and band-aids on the wall have been there since last year. Management is more concerned with keeping the sauna below 160° F than looking at the filth on the floor and walls in front of them. Despite numerous complaints from members, they refuse to increase the maximum temperature to above 160° F. When equipment breaks down it takes a minimum of 1 calendar quarter to repair. They wait for all the leather on the benches and machines to completely deteriorate so they can replace all of them at once. I’ve lost count of the number of times the gym has not opened on time. All this being said, turnover in management is insane and none of them take accountability or show any pride/ownership in their positions. Don’t waste your time or money. O2 Park Place is much cleaner, better equipment, their sauna never dips below 180° F and they clean it every Sunday at 11:00am.

I wish I never switched from LifeTime Athletic (Raleigh/Cary). The customer service at O2 fitness is not good. They recently charged their "annual membership fee" with no notification to their members. I find that interesting as they send multiple emails each month concerning events they have going on and promotions for training and such, but no notification of that. It is also not written in the contact as to the date for which the fee would be charged. Also, I called to inquire about the charge and spoke with a young lady Amanda over the phone. She was so incredible rude to me as if I was playing with her money when indeed it is quite the opposite. I asked to speak with a manager rather than argue with her and she raised her voice, yelling at me stating, "NO, there is no manager here for you to speak toā€ and that is simply unacceptable. She had absolutely no reason to argue with me about money let alone raise her voice and yell at me over the phone. It seems like she hates her job, was having a bad day, or just simple hates helping people that have a genuine issue. This is a terrible example of what an organization should not do from a business operations standpoint in handling their clients, and from a customer service standpoint (as in the case of Amanda and her terrible know it all attitude).

Isaiah Rowley. First time ever having a trainer. I moved to Raleigh about six months ago for a well needed life style change. I haven’t worked out for atleast 7 years. I had a co-worker recommend me their trainer and bragged about him excessively. I didn’t think too much of it until I decided to change my health/fitness. I met Isaiah on a weekday around 6pm for a general meeting to discuss my goals/ambitions. My goal was for massive weight loss / increased endurance / overall health wellness. He took very detailed notes and was just as excited about my goals as I was. The next day I was at the gym at 5am for my first workout session. We trained so hard in the first 15 minutes, I was puking in the trash can. Every time we have an appointment he is there waiting for me, with my workout ready already planned out. He is always in a positive mood, always asking how my diet is going. He switches up the training so you’re not doing the same things everyday, he tells you what to do on days you’re not with him, and he sends you updates multiple times throughout the week to pump you up and check in on you. I’ve never had a trainer in my life, but I can tell from my experience and talking to others, that Isaiah Rowley is one of a kind. He eats/sleeps/breathes fitness. I’ve never met someone who is so adamant and focused on someone else’s success. It has been an incredible experience, and our workouts have become a highlight of my work week. I couldn’t run for 5 minutes straight without feeling like I was dying, do a regular push-up or even workout for more than 30 minutes at a light pace when I started. Now, I workout before and after our sessions. My fitness is on an entirely different level and I feel so much better. Not only have I gained an awesome trainer, I feel like I’ve gained a trustworthy friend who wants the best...
