My first time here.... So I tried the nearby Panda Wok yesterday and the Sesame Chicken was better at Great China today. The fry batter was better at PW though. Here, the fried coating on it was pretty much instantly turned to mush. And I dined in, so there wasn't any time for it to be good, crispy batter and then turn bad. Because of the instantly soggy breading, I doubt I'll ever get this entree again. But, that was the only bad news. The PW chicken was heavily freezer burned, while this was not. It was tender enough and not gristle-y. The sauce tasted nice, and the fried rice.. it was pretty standard, but I did like it better than Panda. Portion size was very generous. I'm a big guy and I went in hungry, and I could have easily have stopped with a half eaten entree and side and been satisfied. With half a dozen tables, and a floor layout that goes long instead of wide, it feels pretty cramped. But I expect that most that come here are for the take-out. Staff was friendly. Food was not made fast, but was reasonable enough for me not to complain. Yes, this is one of those usual Chines places that has the faded lit up pictures of the entrees up in the menu area. That same one page paper menu with a zillion types of similar dishes. I do plan on returning to try some more of their stuff. As a plus, as of 2020/3/17, Coldstone Creamery is a 40 ft walk away ......

This review is based off them couching the prices. I have been going there since 2014. The prices since 2020, to 2024 have sky rocketed ridiculously. A house fried rice with chicken wings is about $17.50 and in North Carolina, that is ridiculous. It was already too high at 15.14, when they changed the price I said to myself this is the last time I will come here. Go to kwik wok. The same order is $13.50. If you really want some good quality chinese, go Chopstix on Creedmoor road. At least their shrimp is fresh, their fried rice has actual flavor. Great china, goodbye. I’m tired of y’all raising the price but not raising the quality. You have lost a loyal customer from couching the price. Y’all food is not that good. Go to Kwik wok 3 miles away for cheaper food. Go to Chopstix for actually good quality Chinese. Go to Oriental Garden to get the best Chinese in RDU. This survey is to help the people....

Ordered sweet and sour shrimp, shrimp fried rice, and soup. Got home to discover they left out the sweet and sour sauce. B/c I do not live close by I could not return to the store until the next day. Needless to say we had to eat dinner without the main entree. When I returned to the store they were very reluctant to replace the order. Mind you, I returned the uneaten shrimp b/c who eats sweet and sour anything without the sweet and sour sauce. After a bit of interrogation they replaced 6 out of 10 shrimp. It's unfortunate that they would not offer to compensate me better for their mistake 😕 especially since I traveled over 20 minutes both trips and did not have dinner as planned. Nonetheless the food was good. I would likely return, but will be sure to double...

We were looking for something different than our normal offerings but we waited late before going out. We arrived just in time to see the "Open" sign go out but there were people standing inside. My sister walked toward the door and a worker asked if we wanted to order and we happily said yes. They were quick and the food was hot and delicious! Thanks for staying open 10 more minutes to accommodate us Great China! We appreciate that special touch of customer service.

Not too bad for "strip-mall" Chinese food. Good prices, good portions and decent flavor. Service is quick and accurate, haven't had a complaint so far. It's super convenient for grab and go during my lunch break and a lunch special sesame chicken has enough on it to fill me up (or make quick leftovers for dinner) Love this little place!
