We recently purchased a living room couch and 2 chairs from Rug & Home manufactured by Steelflex, we are very pleased with the manufacturers product.

However, after the sale process with Rug & Homes the we encountered following issues and have a numbers of and complaints. Delay in providing updates on the status of the items that were being manufactured and delivery date to the showroom. Once it was delivered to the showroom no call to inform us that it was delivered. When I went to pick up the furniture (couch & chairs) there were NO Arm Protectors included. What I was informed that the Sales Consultant should have asked us if we wanted them. I responded ‘YES’ we would have wanted them to protect them for the price of paying $4000 for expensive furniture. Rug & Home Sale’s Consultant indicated that we would have to purchase them. I was very dissatisfied after I spent all this money and now to be charges for (6) Arm Protectors. For all the money spent on the furniture they couldn’t just order them and throw them in. In fact during this time I was bounce from around to (3) different Sale’s Consultant the last one called the owner (Jay) who was out and again inform me that the Arm Protectors were not included. I asked the Sales Consultant to check on how much they would cost, they tried to access the manufacturers web site however Rug & Homes internet was down (can’t make this up) ! I asked them that once their internet is back up that they check the cost and contact me asap. It’s been over 2 weeks and NO-ONE has followed up. We are very dissatisfied with Rug & Home customer service, Rug & Homes made their commission and didn’t even follow-up on anything about the Arm Protectors, or our experience with the furniture or the entire process itself.

My experience with this store has been extremely frustrating. We ordered a dresser on February 11th for a nursery for our first child. At the time we were still pregnant and during the sale the salesperson, Tricia, told us the dresser would come within 4-6 weeks which was well before our due date. Once we decided to purchase the dresser we noticed the paperwork said 6-8 weeks. We questioned Tricia since she had told us 4-6 and we were told that it typically will come within 4-6 weeks but they can only guarantee 6-8 weeks. 8 weeks put us close to our due date but she assured us the dresser would arrive before then. We have now had our child and 12 weeks from our purchase we still do not have the dresser. We have been calling the store for weeks trying to get updates and have been unable to get any information. The staff continues to tell us they will get an update and call us back and they never do. Last week we were told the dresser would be delivered to the store on April 29th and when we did not hear anything on this date we called for an update and they corrected themselves to say the dresser was shipping from the supplier on the 29th, again delaying the arrival of our dresser. At this point we are unsure if we are ever going to receive our purchase. My wife and I had a fantastic buying experience at Rug & Home in Raleigh. We worked with Ellen who was awesome. She greeted us when we walked in and asked a few questions about what we were looking for. She then took us to the store areas that most fit our plan and proceeded to go through our choices with us. She skipped the rugs that didn’t fit our plan saving us time and frustration. We needed two rugs that would be close to each other so she also helped us find complementary rugs or suggested the same rug in a different size based on pattern and color. Ellen’s eye for this is excellent. She also suggested two rugs in a completely different section that we wouldn’t have thought of and we found a match. Ellen had our top choices laid out on the showroom floor and near each other which really made a difference and confirmed they would work well together. Before we bought we went to another rug store nearby as we always comparison shop, but the rug quality and buying experience was nowhere near what we got from Ellen and Rug & Home.
