I will explain the star rating eventually, but I do want to add that the quality of the furniture has been great so far. We have no issues with the products we received and the prices are well within our budget. If we didn’t experience the service that we did I would highly recommend this place solely for well priced, good quality furniture. With that being said, I will never buy anything from here again. Ronnie was our salesman and had been the saving grace throughout the whole process. Our order was messed up and had to be delivered in two shipments instead of one. He was polite and respectful so the issue was easily overlooked. We live on base so we confirmed that the delivery guys could conduct a delivery on base and that they’d know what to do. He confirmed this wouldn’t be an issue and for the first half of the delivery it was not. Everything was timely and as promised. However, the second delivery was where we had issues. The delivery guy called me in the morning confirming it was on base. I confirmed this and told him he’d need his ID. Maybe it was wrong for me to assume they’d know how to get on base since obviously the other team knew, but I feel that these drivers should figure out how to conduct deliveries BEFORE they start driving. So after a few hours Ryan calls me. I have no idea who he is or what his position is, but he tries to get me to meet the driver somewhere to pick up the shipment instead of them completing the full delivery to my house. He tells me that they have other shipments to do and they don’t have time for a truck inspection to get on base. This specifically, is not my problem. Do not schedule base deliveries without setting time aside for the inspection. It is standard procedure to inspect these delivery vehicles. They don’t know what you have on the truck. I know common sense isn’t common these days, but come on. It’s not a gated community, it’s government property. I told Ryan that the item wouldn’t fit in my car. He wouldn’t take no for an answer. He tried to convince me it would and even called the delivery guy to try to convince me as well. It finally took me telling him that I’m pregnant and had been throwing up all morning for him to realize there’s a good reason we PAID for a delivery instead of picking it up ourselves in the first place. Having to tell some stranger my medical issues over the phone was humiliating to say the least. If he’d have taken no for an answer to begin with we could’ve avoided that, but nope. The inspection took maybe 10 minutes. The delivery took maybe 5. The arguing was the longest part of the delivery. This was almost a good experience with this company, but this put a bad taste in my mouth in the end. I personally would not recommend their business.

Being unfamiliar with NC and without a car, I was thinking things will be really difficult to start with but for my surprise, at the time of getting my furniture for my apartment, I found Raleigh Discount Furniture staff very helpful and extraordinary. I chose all my furniture (dining, living and bed rooms) after checking online. A little bit too risky but nothing to regret with the service that I got and the excellent deal and prices which I really loved it. I was able to speak and exchange emails with Matt and Ryan. They were very patient with me after contacting them for getting the prices of different pieces that I found online. After submitting two different orders, they kept updating about the availability of some of my furniture. Many of them were ready to be delivered but I decided to wait until all of them were in store to have all in one delivery. The delivery team was amazing. They assembled all my furniture and cleaned up the area. I had two issues after the delivery, one was completely my fault in terms of choosing the height of the foundation for my bed, they contacted me immediately and offered me a solution which I was not expecting but I was surprised for all their considerations. One more time, EXCELLENT SERVICE where a satisfied customer comes first! For the other small issue, I immediately got a replacement. AMAZING team and service! Read moreMe and my husband had a very good experience in this discount store. We bought our entire Master bedroom, Guest bedroom and Dinning room sets plus a king mattress here. The prices were very good compared to other stores in Raleigh. We received them all within a week. Next day delivery was available but we opted to deliver it on weekends. Ryan was the one who helped with our purchase. I would usually do a lot of research before buying any product and make sure I don't pay more for it and this place had the best price of all its competitors. We would definitely come back for any future purchase. Wish we had found this place sooner before buying our living room set. We definitely would have saved hundreds more. Update: I initially gave 5 star. Now reduced two stars because of the problem we are having with our king size bed. It makes really loud noise. Even when turning sides while sleeping.
