Dexter Furniture — Local services in Raleigh

I DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS:

CROOKS. I purchased a showroom chair. My friend and I pointed out defaults in the cushions and stitching, while in the store. Wendy stated it would be corrected prior to delivery. It wasn't. Wendy made excuses, stating she could come out and tweek the cushions. We'll, no she couldn't because the movers had arrived and wrapped the chair. I called her the day prior and sent her photos. ACCORDING TO WENDY, THE PROBLEM WOULD BE CORRECTED PRIOR TO DELIVERY. IT WASN'T.

WENDY SAID SHE SAW NOTHING WRONG IN THE PHOTOS, HOWEVER, SHE WOULD TWEEK THE CUSHIONS. When I mentioned again about the craftsmanship, no response.

When I went to the store the following day to show her the photos, she continued saying she could tweek the cushions. No, the furniture is seal in storage awaiting my move. My furniture is now the liability of the moving company. They are not going to unload truck so she could tweek furniture. She said she and the guys tried to tweek it prior to delivery but couldn't. At that point, she should have let me know and offered me options prior to delivery. She didn't. Now I'm stuck with this unsalvageable, ugly piece of furniture.

They have in BOLD LETTERS "ALL SALES ARE FINAL." This is usually stated when a sore is going out of business. They need to. Absolutely NO ACCOUNTABILITY. MY OPINION ....STAY AWAY. Go to Ashley's or Rooms To Go. I don't like either store, however, they will allow you to...

My girlfriend, her family and I browsed briefly in this store looking for a couch for my girlfriend's apartment. One of the sales representatives came over to help us and after expressing to her we were looking for something a little more modestly priced (the prices were lofty, as is most furniture) the sales lady directed us to some other discount furniture places and said we could come back when my girlfriend had a "first rate job". I found this comment extremely condescending, and classless. This establishment will never receive any of my business. Such treatment to potential customers is tactless and...

Very happy with my sofa that I bought with them! I went into their showroom and found something that was perfect. They were even able to do some customizations.

Oh yeah... and it was sourced and handmade IN NORTH CAROLINA with hardwood and a fantastic warranty.

Definitely not priced like a cheap imported piece of furniture... but they worked with me on pricing and delivery. Had to break up into two deliveries because of a customization I requested... but reasonable and well worth!
