I called a day ahead and spoke with Christine to inquire about a Bradington Young Raiden sofa. She excitedly tells me that they have this sofa on their floor. I was happy to hear this and told her that we would be in the Sacramento area tomorrow, 10/26/2024, and would stop in to see this sofa. My family of 6 walk in (we were in Sac celebrating my grandson's bday going to all the places he wanted to go to) and we entered, we see an older gentleman and lady who just stood there and stared at us as if we were going to rob the place! Absolutely no greeting, no "hello can I help you" "welcome in" nothing! I had to speak to them first and told them that I had spoke to Christine yesterday about the Bradington Young sofa, she is the lady staring and immediately gets more enthusiastic and tells me that she is Christine! She walks us over to the sofa and begins telling us all about the sofa's features and how you can customize it. She barely listens to what I'm saying but several times tells us how I can "easily put down 20% today" or "put down half today," she repeats this about 4 times like a car salesman! We all actually loved the $19,737 sofa but their poor judgement of their customers turned me OFF immediately! Upon entering the store, I felt like we were being read (as did my family) and perhaps didn't fit their criteria of someone who could afford to make purchases there! So I just want to say that if you are a person of color, this is not where you will feel welcomed! I want to thank Christine for her time showing us this sofa but I will be purchasing it somewhere else because of our poor "Pretty Woman" shopping experience since US dollars spend everywhere! Christine,"You work on commission? Big, huge mistake!" BTW, on a side note...you may want to remove the 2 hypodermic needles that we noticed (as we were leaving) were in your flower bed next your front door, those aren't very...
Read moreMcCreery's is great and the furniture is very high quality. We wound up there after declining to buy more particle board, I hesitate to even call it furniture, stuff from an office store. The desk we bought will probably survive a nuclear blast but it cost a small fortune too. On the other hand, the sofa and chair we bought are very reasonably priced and much better quality than the Recliner company recliners that I've had to reinforce a couple of times because they are stapled together. The furniture McCreery's sells is actually good quality and well built. My only complaint is their phone system sucks, it's terrible, I can barely understand them.
I had an issue with a desk chair (split in the leather seat) and they fixed it. It took a little while for them to persuade the manufacturer to send the part but it came and they fixed it under warranty so I'm...
Read moreSo disappointed! I had high hopes for McCreeryâs. I drove 40 minutes with the intent to by a new living room set and a new desk for my home office. I wandered the store for 40 minutes with not even a single acknowledgement let alone an offer to help from one of the salespeople. I even walked by a salesperson who said nothing to me but eagerly greeted 2 ladies who walked by shortly after me. A different salesperson even checked in with a guy just sitting on a couch staring at his phone. Perhaps it was because I was dressed casually, or shopping on my own or somehow appeared that I wasnât a serious shopper. You know what they say, never make assumptions. In the case it cost...
