Great store and most of the staff is wonderful especially the butcher! That being said I can’t ever seem to get anyone to make fried chicken in the evening for dinner, I have called on my way home from work and they said I should try calling before 4- I don’t get off til 5 and home til almost 6 I don’t want my chicken sitting for 2 hrs waiting for me- I was getting off work early one day and attempted to call in before 4 and was told “sorry we stopped serving chicken for the day- today Sunday: called at 3 to get some chicken for dinner time- again was told they stopped making chicken for the day 2 hours ago…. I work as an agronomist in Eastern Iowa. I planned a field tour on a Thursday and a local clued me into this place as an option for some food for lunch for our tour attendees. Bless the fellow named Brett, who was able to work with our crazy schedule to meet us out at a field site with our (hot!) food on time and with everything we needed to eat it.
