Destination Reinbeck, Iowa! Just another dull cornfield town with nothing much going on besides getting out of town. A recent road-trip found us venturing into The Dig Inn in sleepy Reinbeck. Once inside I thought I might have taken a wrong turn into someoneās 1973 basement. From furniture to the decor hanging about as well as some old school real country vinyl finding my ears I was confused as to how this place could survive such a town. But a friendly greeting from the proprietor, Ben, made you feel at home. Itās a cozy place where conversation is the TV at least on this day. Four or five taps of mostly Iowa beer, a decent selection of canned and bottle beer as well as a liquor selection that seemed Iowa normal. Vinyl records for purchase are available as well as played and sometimes Ben will even take requests. I enjoyed The Dig Inn. Itās a unique place in a not so unique town.
