Iāve been going to this rink since I was in high school back from 2008 to 2012. Oh how I missed the good old days. They used to have live concession stands and late night five hours public skate sessions.
Now that they have been bought out by Sno-King, there has been a lot of miscommunication and mis-scheduling. iāve gone here twice in the past couple years and both times were a disappointment.
Both times that I have visited, both myself, and my fiancƩ have experienced broken laces. He nearly sprained his ankle on the ice the first time. They gave us vouchers to come by next time.
The most recent time I went, which was last weekend, they did not let me use the voucher because they said they no longer take them. they did, however, cover our skate rental just not the entry fee. This time I tried to put the skates on, and the laces broke immediately. The second round of skates I got the laces broke again. They need to get maintenance on the skates under control or someone is going to get seriously hurt.
no, according to their website, they had two public skate events that day back to back. The guy Sam on the phone told me that I could go to both skate hours after the Zamboni had run over the ice. but when I got there, they said very last minute that the second public skate hour was canceled for more practices. With no notification in advance. this was two days Prior to arriving that I called.
last, but not least the ice had huge chunks and nicks all over it and my friend Stuart actually fell and hit his shoulder on the ice. If I wasnāt holding onto my fiancĆ©, I would have also fallen because I hit a deep hole.
So I am just requesting better communication on the website, better maintenance of The ice and maintenance on their equipment. And honor the vouchers you give it since there was no expiration date. I donāt want to have to go to another arena due to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur experience with this ice rink was absolutely unacceptable. We purchased tickets online because the website clearly stated that the rink was open. However, after traveling all the way there, we were greeted with a CLOSED sign. No updates online, no warningsājust a sign saying "closed."
When we tried to ask the staff for clarification, instead of an explanation or even basic courtesy, we were met with rudeness and unprofessionalism. They pointed at the sign and dismissed us as if we were an inconvenience, even though the mistake was entirely on their end for not updating the website.
This kind of treatment is completely uncalled for. Not only did they waste our time and money, but the disrespectful attitude of the staff made the situation even worse.
I sincerely hope the management addresses this issue, ensures proper communication with customers, and improves staff behavior. I also expect to receive a refund or the opportunity to reschedule our visit for when the rink is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo much to say about this establishment. You guys rock. For my life I have been an avid hockey enthusiast but have never played in any organized manner. Your learn to play classes were judgement free and challenging while maintaining professionalism in a pretty casual environment. Your ability to provide gear for players and a safe, trust worthy environment makes this a slam dunk for adults to learn a new hobby and then allows them an avenue to join leagues, practice on the week days or weekends, and a pro shop to help make suggestions on gear, skate sharpening, and more.
I wish I would have found this place sooner, but I am so glad I did. Everyone with even an inkling of interest in playing hockey should consider SnoKing as...
