I went excited as I had been told this place was cool. I sat for more than five minutes with no indication of service. I got up from my table and approached the bartender to order a drink and she told me if I was at a table i needed to wait for the waitress to come over and take my order. I sat back down at my table and twenty minutes later the waitress came over. So after a half hour in the bar I was offered service. I ordered a beer and a plate of chicken strips and sweet potato fries. 25 minutes later when my meal finally came my friends were cashing out so I asked for my check. I don't know what kind of fries I received ( maybe garlic parmesan?) but they weren't sweet potato and they were old and cold. My chicken was soggy and cold and seemed suspiciously undercooked. I was so hungry at this point I ate one cx strip. The waitress never asked me how I was doing or if I liked the food until as I was about to leave and she simply asked if I wanted a box... I had to tell her how poorly my meal turned out and that I didn't trust the cx was cooked. Before I made it to the door the waitress stopped me and said that in light of my food being incorrect and nasty she didn't accept the tip I left. I didn't want to stiff the waitress! I was hoping for a refund or how about this crazy idea?!?! They could have remade the food I was super hungry for!?!?! Getting her tip waved seemed like a backwards idea from a bar that clearly doesn't have their stuff figured out. I wanted sweet potato fries and chicken,...

So let me start by saying I don't ever get any sort of steak when I eat out because they never cook it correctly, over season it or it's low grade fatty cuts. I just know better than to do it because I'm settling myself up for disappointment. However my roommate was ordering from here for takeout a few months back and recommend the steak. I ordered it with serious hesitation due to past experiences. I ordered a ribeye m/r more on the rare side and to my surprise it was cooked perfectly, but then I took a bite and it tasted more amazing than it looked. We got takeout again tonight (we do this a couple times a month) I ordered the prime rib m/r and as always I was delighted. The food is always absolutely freaking delicious. Even my picky teen loves their burgers and he only loves my burgers until he had one from Doofers. If I could give them 10 stars I would. I've been in the establishment 2 times and the guy behind the bar (manager possibly) is really on top of things. He makes his job look like it's easy and being a server/bartender for many years I know that behind the bar is the hardest work in the f&b industry. I just want to say thank you so much again for an amazing dinner. You guys keep it up. Shout out to the cook for knowing what the hell he's doing back there with the meat. I will continue to come here to eat as long as I'm near by....

Doofer’s staff let me down last night. I discovered this place when I moved here a year ago and enjoyed the food, studying here, working, the cold beer, and the daytime-friendly staff. My friend and I weren’t helped last night as we sat around waiting for the server, who ignored us but assisted the new arrivals that came in after us, so we ordered at the bar. The food was brought out to us OK by the bartender, but later the same guy ignored the pitcher order I placed, so I needed to ask for the pitcher again (after having paid already). While having met an acquaintance and played pull tabs for the first time with a girl, the bartender gave off jealous vibes and said rude comments as if to “brush me away” so he could chat with her. This was the first time I invited my friend to my "friendly" neighborhood bar.

Doofer’s states on their website that it’s a place to build community and thanks its customers, both of which I did not receive last night.

We left for Berliner Pub and received friendly service. But, legitimately, get over yourselves. I will never come back here at...

NOV 2023 UPDATE: Our most recent order has me deducting a star overall, because they really struggle to have food ready even remotely on time (I was told 25 minutes, it ended being 50 minutes) and even following instructions (they put mayo on the cheeseburger when I asked for only cheese, mustard, ketchup). I hope they can hire more people, and maybe take orders from a quieter room because I could tell the guy taking the order was having a hard time hearing me. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We did take out for the first time from Doofers. It was pretty good! I had the Broasted Chicken, which was very tender and well prepared. Flavour wise, it was a bit plain, but still tasty. The "JoJos" are like giant potato wedges, essentially a big potato cut into four pieces. Again, plain tasting, but very soft and well cooked. Overall, I'm impressed and will order from Doofers again!

Large sports bar with TVs all around that can be seen from any seat in the house. Two central pool tables. Large bar with many seats with multiple TVs to see. The food is on point. I haven’t tried much, but got their “broasted” chicken, which they’re known for, and have been voted as a finalist for best chicken in Washington state. Their mozzarella sticks were also legit and I’m pretty sure they’re homemade. Pretty sure most of their fried food is homemmade. The broasted chicken was super crunchy and super juicy. They serve it with “JoJo” potatoes but I elected to sub the tots and I’m happy with that choice. They serve the chicken and potatoes with “chicken fat sour cream,” which is a huge upgrade on your run of the mill sour cream. Would definitely come back to try more of their food, specifically the burgers.
