Dollar General — Local services in Richland Hills

This Dollar General has a very friendly staff. In the several times I have visited here I usually find what I am looking for and never leave feeling like I disrupted the staffs everyday tasks. My last visit the cashier was extra pleasant. The store is not as clean as it could be but it is not entirely bad. COVID standards are present but not top priority. I didn't see anything on the floor or any safety hazards. I didn't visit the bathroom to confirm with that was tidy or not. They do not offer a curbside pick up but you can shop on their app and pick up the items inside the store. I didn't have to ID myself when I picked up my bags. I simply walked in, looked for what was mine and left. That said they also did not find all my items in my pickup. The app is great if you shop here. I use it to organize my coupons and have found amazing deals. So if you coupons then this is a good...

For the service today .. Service, that's laughable. Two girls in there RIGHT NOW .... Running their mouths to the point they don't realize a customer walks in and openly States something about NO CARTS inside and the ones they did have outside they had already locked up. They don't close for another 2 hours as of this post, obviously I was in prior. Then ..... Get the 3 12pks of sodas because that's their 'deal' plus my other two items in a hand held basket to be told when I get to the counter - oh, haha, I forgot to turn off my light, you'll have to go to the other register. ... Well, if it had had a light on, I would have gone to it initially when I walked up to the first register that was unattended. This store needs DESPERATE management supervision

Went to this Dollar General on Labor Day, at 8:20pm (they close at 9), and a large man came to the door as I was walking up, and gave me the "we're closed" sign by swiping his hand across his neck. As I was walking back to my car & looking up their hours, another customer pulled up and tried to go in. She looked utterly confused when she went to open the door and found it locked. By this time I had confirmed their closing time was supposed to be 9pm. And then a THIRD customer pulled up, and again I had to explain they closed early. All of this business and sales Dollar General missed, and for what? IF YOU CLOSE AT 9PM, THEN CLOSE AT 9PM. It's extremely inconvenient and frustrating to drive to a store you know should be open, and realize they closed early for some...
