I didn’t know you can only leave one review per email so this is the second part of my previous first review also by Anonymous on 4/25/25.
Today, I tried to buy their 3 pack blister of Sun and Moon Guardians Rising and he said the price was $80. I quickly went to TCGPlayer and saw that a normal pack only goes for like $19 and I saw the 3 pack blister (the same one) going for $48 market. I asked if there was any wiggle room and I said you’re charging almost double of what market is. He told me the last few times it sold, it went for around $80 and even told me a date it was sold. I tried looking at his phone but before I could, he turned it off and put it in his pocket and stood there firmly while looking at me. He said the lowest I could do is $75, so I asked him where he got that price. He said it was last sold on eBay at that price and I asked about why he chose eBay and not TCGPlayer. I later looked it up on eBay, and the last sold actually ranges from $29-$39, nothing even close to that price he gave. The only thing that comes close is a different 3 pack blister and (2) blister packs.
Last week, I came in and picked up several Journey Together singles for my master set. One of them being the Iono’s Bellibolt and the hyper rare version of the same card as well. Everything was good, but then I realized when I got home, he gave me 2 of the normal Iono’s Bellibolt, I was pissed. The next day, I came back and explained to him what happened and he actually honored it and let me pay the difference of the hyper rare version. The worst part of this is, he looked like he didn’t remember me and acted like that never happened. This person I’m talking about is the same person in both scenarios and I even talked to the same person that second day I came in.
There have been times when I go to the register and try to pay for my stuff and the owner, co-owner and the curly red hair guy checks me out and they’ll say, “where did you get that from? Why do we have a sticker on it saying that? You know that card goes for way more right?” I always reply with where I got it from, and say “oh really?” Then when I look it up later, it’s nothing close to what they claim it’s worth.
They have this little mini game where if you buy anything, they let you roll a dice and you can get free packs, free random cards and what not. After visiting there every week for 5 months, I’ve only been able to roll 3 times! But when a kid comes in, they always let them do it. Like, if you can’t honor that mini game that is advertised on their blackboard at the entrance, don’t have it at all.
There was this one time I got a fake gold metal tag team card with Reshiram and Charizard for free because I called it out that they were fake. It wasn’t for sale, but I saw it on the counter and said something. He asked if I wanted one, I said yes and when I went to check out, he almost pulled a fast one and kept it. But I noticed and asked did you put that other one in the bag? The owner saw these cards and said, you can take those home to the other employee because they are fake and we can’t sell those.
Once, I bought one of those 2 or 3 pack tins and I’m pretty positive it was resealed. It was a 2021 code on the back and had Scarlet and Violet packs.
I know they have an actual store and probably get distributed more because of that reason, but there’s been times where I’ve noticed that they more than likely scalp retailers. Two separate times, I saw the Blooming Water collection box and they had 10+ boxes of them. Don’t you only get those at Costco and wasn’t that the same box everyone was scalping and fighting for? They were also like double the price of what they should’ve been.
I’ve been wanting to review this place for so long, but felt that they were going to know who wrote this and treat me bad. After what happened today, I’m never returning. I’m happy for the owner, I saw his speech video and glad you guys are where you want to be but some of this stuff needed to be addressed.
I have more to say but again I have...
Read moreI really do like this place, but within the last few months, there have been a handful of times that made me leave with a sour taste in my mouth. I actually would recommend this store to anyone, but do your research on what you’re buying first and don’t be afraid to speak up about it.
I’ve been going to this store for about 5 months now and I’ve been a very loyal customer always spending $50+ every single week. I’ve only been collecting Pokemon cards for about 7-8 months so at first, I really didn’t know what I was buying. This place has an insane inventory and it’s always stocked. They have everything ranging from Vintage packs like Jungle, Fossil and Base Set, a ton of Pokemon promo boxes, ETB’s, Booster Box’s, Booster packs, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, German and so many singles! They even have binders for a lot of the sword and shield and scarlet and violet sets. They also have other TCG’s like One Piece, Star Wars, MTG, Sports, Yugioh and so much more! They also have lots of high valued items in the glass cases like Pokemon Evolving Skies Booster Box, PSA slabs, Pokemon Gameboy games and a ton more! Also, they have 3D printed desk toys and some memorabilia for all sorts of games and TCG’s. They also sell a cable network with a ton of channels and I think they might sell TV’s and PC’s too which also includes fixing this stuff like getting virus’s off PC’s and such. They even buy and trade cards. This place has a little bit of everything and tailors to so many customers.
The employees here are all nice, especially the owner, the guy with the curly red hair that does primarily sports, the co-owner I believe he has black spiky short hair and the really chill guy with long hair. These are the people who make me want to come back. The others are the ones who have given me that sour taste I was talking about. I will say though, their customer service isn’t the greatest and there has been numerous times where I’ve caught the owner practically bullying some of the younger employees like Tyler especially. There was a few weeks where every time I went in, I was hearing negative stuff coming from the owner towards Tyler and he even talks bad behind his back. Speaking of customer service, only the owner, the co-owner I talked about and the guy with the curly red hair actually greets customers. They’re the only ones who have said hi to me and asked how my day is going. They’re other people just stand there awkwardly and gaze you as you’re trying to figure out what to buy. A simple, “Hey, welcome in” would be nice. Also the tone of the owner when he talks to his employees is rather mean and very condescending.
Next, let’s talk about the prices. There have been numerous times, where I’ve left like, “did I just get scammed?” They go off of TCGPlayer and usually marks it up from there. However there have been times where I see a card for $150+ and I look it up and it’s nothing close to that, always so much lower. Their prices on their packs are insane and I don’t recommend anyone getting them unless they are Paradox Rift or Scarlet and Violet base set because those are like $6. As of lately, their Prismatic packs are like $18, Journey Together is like $10, Evolving Skies is $25, Sun and Moon base set is $40, at one point the Sun and Moon Crimson Invasion was $20 a pack and I bought a few of those. Then the next time I saw it, they were only like $10 and it might be lower right now. Their Pokemon Promo boxes are insanely marked up in price and nothing close to Market. If you’re trying to collect a sealed collection, this is not the place.
I didn’t realize there is a word count maximum, so this is review part 1 and I will be posting part 2...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. My fiancé and I visited this place July 30th and bought a X12 plus. Once we got home and he tried to use it, it did not work. So assumed it needed to charge. We pulled out the charger it was frayed. We tried charging it anyways the little light indicating it was charging turned on. But the screen never turned on, It did not work. Unfortunately we live 40-50 minutes away so we had to wait until yesterday August 4th to go up there when they were open again. They could not exchange for a working one because none of the new ones were working. I was told by the employee there he was not authorized to do a refund but if we wanted to leave the item and come back tomorrow or Sunday once it was fixed we could. I told him we live too far and do not want something that doesn’t work so we would like a refund. I left my name a phone number for the owner. I get a text not even a phone call from the owner today saying it works and we can come pick it up. We explained that it is too far to go back and pick something up that could have the same issue again so we would like a refund. He told me they do not do refunds only exchanges. I asked where does it state that in the store and if I was to drive up there AGAIN would I be compensated for my time and money. I have yet to receive a response. I do not recommend spending...
