Loved this store. But, today my husband was harassed over a mask. Even with a health condition he was still treated horribly. We left everything and I immediately called and was refund our membership. It could have gone different but the way the 2 men approached him was uncalled for and inappropriate. It was forceful and rude right out the gate. We will be taking our money elsewhere.
Edit: After thinking about how the situation was handled I'm still a little irritated and hope to get more of a point across so someone doesn't get hurt by their illness or disorder. He was offered a "face shield" but they never considered his condition being something to do with his anxiety disorder. And frankly it isn't their business. Also I as well as our friend we were speaking too had our masks on properly. It was just him because he is the only person that had a condition that wouldn't allow him to mask up. This isn't fair of a company, he tries to maintain 6 feet between himself and all other people shopping or working, he will kindly leave if their is an issue and we will shop else where but these men literally came at him like he was stealing something or spitting in people's faces! It was very uncalled for. And that's why instead of him going to the car as I checked out we just left and canceled our membership. Customer lost because of lack of compassion and empathy for people with special needs that make it difficult to wear masks. As someone who knows multiple people with multiple reasons they need to not wear a mask or pull a mask down to make sure someone knows something like they are deaf I truly feel horrible for them if they are treated the way my husband was in Costco. I am so glad the manager or who ever that dude that was so rude to him feels like a big man now for treating another him like trash. Compassion...
Read more10 months into my first year of Costco membership and I will not be renewing. First mistake Mike lied to me about the promos I was getting when I signed up. Mike told me I would be getting a 40 dollar gift card for being a new member and watch my emails and then I would get a 30 dollar gift card on the spot for being military. 2 months later when I was signing my wife up since we got married I inquired about the 40 dollar gift card. It was confirmed Mike lied to me but they would try to work something out with the corporate and never heard another peek so I let it go. The second and more serious offense was today when my wife was waiting for our lunch after I paid for it while I boxed the groceries. When the food was ready my wife went up and attempted to show the employee the receipt but they refused. So when I got done boxing, my wife had the food and table prepared I asked about her drink since there was only one cup which she prepared for me. I told her I paid for two and showed her on the receipt the 2@.69 for total of 1.38. So I went and got a cup and prepared her a drink . The lazy and unprofessional employee who refused to see her receipt and give us what we paid for accused us of stealing. I gave him the ticket number and refused to give it to him since he didn't want to do his part before, so the double disrespect to my wife by first refusing the receipt to help make your job easier then accuse us of stealing. This dude really went back and pulled all the receipts at the register to see if we paid for .69 cup after we spent over 200 dollars on groceries. You can catch just as good and better deals at Kroger and Aldi's if you eye an out without the hassle of Costco. I can use my Amex card with better cash back and get cheaper gas at Kroger with gas buddy. Member ID:...
Read moreJune 11 (Sunday) is the official date I went into this establishment and was treated like my money was not Green. First off let me be very clear on saying I’ve been a Costco member since 2020 in which at my location this store is fairly new, Never not once was I treated with such disgrace UNTIL JUNE 11, 2023. Upon leaving entering a line for checkout with Mr. TYSON Y. (As it states on the receipt his name), this man made me realize that Costco hiring someone of that nature is not very diverse friendly. Now, I waited and waited to see if my gut feeling would still be strong about being very hurt and disgusted with his actions and my answer is yes, it is now June 16 and I still have a bad taste in my mouth from how he treated me. I brought a non membership person (my sister) with me in which I have membership rights to do so, this man stated that since she is not a member she would need exact change or use another form of finance with my name attached to it. Imagine my surprise when before I could make a statement this fellow stated I COULD LET YOU SPEAK WITH MY MANAGER IF ITS A PROBLEM!!! Really that’s an auto response from the crock of bull you just stated? No sir we will happily take our business elsewhere (My response in my head as I gathered my purse from the register and walked out with my sister and her two kids). From here on I’ve decided to cancel my membership and start a membership with Sam’s where I know I will be treated with dignity and respect regardless of whom or...
