Unlike the others who have reviewed here, we did not have the same great experience. Mostly due to 1 individual who was very rude! We were shopping for our first gun and as you can imagine had a million questions. We were working with a gentleman named Otto who was very informative and patient. He didn’t rush us and answered all the questions. We were pretty comfortable with him. While he was helping us another employee (Kyle) interrupted us and told Otto that he wasn’t there to teach and said he should be at the register ringing up customers. First off I was mortified that an employee would call another employee out like that in public and in front of potential customers. I was also embarrassed as a customer. My husband and I were very uncomfortable because we didn’t want to keep asking questions when clearly Kyle didn’t want Otto working with us. So we wrapped up our business - thanked Otto for his time and left. I won’t buy a gun from a company that allows its employees to treat others the way Kyle did. I also won’t buy there because of the way we were made to feel. I hope that the management might do some employee training so that employees respect each other and the customers.
Update - the owner reached out to me directly. I believe he was as surprised as I was by my experience and assured me that it would be addressed. I plan on giving his store another shot in the coming weeks. Seems like a very genuine gentlemen and I appreciated the fact...
   Read moreI recently purchased a pistol from their online store on 12/5/19. I chose to have it shipped to Bass Pro in Savannah, Ga. A week went by and I had not heard anything about my order, tried to call but their phone lines are not open on the weekend because I called on Saturday. I sent an email request and heard back a few minutes later. The email stated my order was set to be unapproved due to Bass Pro allegedly having an improper or expired FFL. I then had them change the FFL dealer to Ortiz, but Ortiz has a $10 higher transfer fee. The cost of the fee was my reason for choosing Bass Pro. I get on the phone with someone this morning only to be told (after having them check their emails from that customer service agent) that I was given incorrect information and that there was never an issue. So, now I am out $10. All they want to do is a 10% coupon for my next purchase. There will never be a next purchase. I asked for a refund of the shipping or just a $10 refund, and I was told no. I was told I could have it changed back to Bass Pro, but it could have a 1 day delay in delivery. It is too close to the holidays to risk a one day delay. This is a Christmas gift from my wife to me. I told her I just wanted the $10 because I don't want to risk it not getting here before Ortiz closes for the holidays.    Read moreThis a really a 0 star review. I came into the store 12/10/24 around 2:50. It’s was me and a friend our intentions were to get use of the range. We were constantly stared at as soon as we entered. The men at the check in for the range were talking amongst themselves saying something about kids. Me being a younger man myself just caught a note of that they weren’t very polite. I told them that we wanted get time for the range and purchase ammo. His first question to me was “when was the last time you shot” unusual question but I brushed it off and answered. Never have I asked that at gun range or store. Anyway the three men constantly gave smart remarks and quick to jump an anything we said. My friend being 20 and I being 21 thought it wouldn’t be a problem getting range time one of the men told use no we couldn’t. At this very same store we came and shot before with no problem no extra questioning with id check and everything. Another man tells us it’s against policy if that is I totally understand rules are rules never have that man a single remark, look, never gave him a gesture.
