Red Eye Tattoo — Local services in Rio Dell

Michael made the impossible possible. This was my last trip to the redwoods this year, and I had been wanting a redwood tree tattoo for a couple of years now.

At the beginning of the trip, I started to play with the idea of getting it this weekend so I started looking at tattoo shops. I looked both at Google maps and Yelp, to my surprise, I was unable to find good picture of a redwood tree tattoo. I came across this business and the gaisha tattoo caught my attention, she was beautiful.  I called the shop and Mike picked up and said he did consultation. So I made an appointment with him and I sent him the picture of the tree I wanted.

He said he had a project to finish so he would let me know if he had time to sketch it then he would do it. After he left, I waited at the front of the shop in anticipation . Now I knew I really wanted him to be the one to make my wish come true because of how honest and easy going he was.

He gave me a call a few minutes later, which felt like eternity, to let me know he was willing to and to be back in an hour at the shop, I was estatic!

I am in awe with his work and professionalism. He has been super responsive and helpful whenever I have any questions about my tattoo. I can't wait to have more of his art work done when I come back to this...

Where do I begin?. Well, I was referred here by family who had Shane as their tattoo go-to. Of course, that's who I went to also. Did my homework on him, and thought it would work out well.. boy, was I wrong!. Shane is a beginner tattoo Artist (apparently) who never worked in a professional environment., and the work I had done.. certainly proved it. Not only did he scar me up, badly but... I had to continuously go for touch-ups. He didn't ask me how things looked, before, during or after tattooing, and he decided what colors and designs looked best from his perspective. He mostly complained about the shop taking 80% of his money, until he paid his dues" . His lines are shakey, the pattern I wanted was nothing like what I got. Absolutely, horrible!. Out of respect for the recommendation from family, I did pay but... when I addressed all my concerns he started texting me continuously, all hours of the night. 50 messages, to be exact. Never read any of them, and blocked his calls. My husband had to ask him to leave me alone. Completely horrible experience, ever!. After this mishap, I've heard alot of other people's experiences with Shane also. Definitely, think twice about who you see, if...

I was extremely disappointed with Mike! I've had many friends that have gotten tattoos on scarred areas of their skin and they turned out beautifully with no problems my arm has scars on it and he said it would be no problem to cover them. I went to him because I saw his work around town on other people and it was beautiful so I thought he was the best one to do mine. I was wrong! he doesn't answer calls put me off over and over again doesn't respond to some of my messages when he knew how badly I wanted this in memory of my mother. He could have done the other arm but maybe $250 wasn't even enough for a small tattoo. Instead of ignoring me he just should have said he didn't want to do it instead of playing the games and telling me stories. I'm just extremely disappointed in that place.
