I contacted my insurance company after an April hail storm. They sent out an adjuster he made an assessment and reported back to the home office that there was no hail damage. I knew this was incorrect and I had a fight on my hands. I contacted 4 roofing contractors for inspection. The first 3 to come mounted the roof and made their assessments; all of which differed greatly. The first said there was no hail damage. Having gone through this before and had become familiar with what was and what was not hail damage; I realized that this was not the contractor I was looking for the damage was evident from the ground. Number two told me that what I was seeing was sun blisters and not hail damage. Number three said there was some small amount of damage but nothing to worry about. Then Andes Roofing arrived. Sean Skimming, salesman , came with technology in hand, a drone. He flew for about 10 minutes and showed me what he saw in the pictures. He then mounted the roof for further investigation. It was apparent that hail damage was present and that he would put together a presentation and get back with me. A couple weeks passed and I had not heard anything, so being the proactive person I am, I followed up with Andes. Only to find out he was no longer with the company and the pictures and assessment were lost somewhere in the data base. Confidence didnât come to mind immediately. Enter âJoe Cool â, actual name Joe Esarey, and he said he was taking over and would endeavor to find the work Sean had done but to no avail. He said he would be glad to fly the drone again and make a second assessment and would be out the next week. He showed up as scheduled, which is no small task to get someone to do in Harrison Co Indiana, with technology in hand and redid the work Sean had done. He compiled the data, produced a presentation and came back out and made the sales pitch. It was apparent that I didnât need to get another contractor involved. He was very professional and covered all the bases. He organized all the data and sent all the information in an email which I would then send to my insurance company. After several attempts to get the insurance to respond they told me that they couldnât open the information. I asked Joe to lend a hand and he submitted the documents on my behalf, this time successfully. We requested a different adjuster to come and make a second opinion, which they honored. Joe Cool arrived about the same time as the insurance adjuster and they walked the roof together. Amazingly the insurance company agreed with Joe Cool and we were off and running preparing for a new roof. The roofing crew showed up in two weeks along with a fine young man, Tommy Nissen, project manager. There were 23 members of the crew who stripped off the old roof and installed the new roof in one day, along with some other items I asked them to do, which they performed at no additional expense. They prepared the work site properly and the clean up was easy and complete. Andes had another project in the area and Tommy needed to go to that project. During his absence, a second project manager, Skyler Wilkerson arrived to oversee the work. All went well and all the work was completed. Skyler informed me that he return in a few days and do the final assessment, prepare a certificate of completion and submit it to the insurance company, which he did. The insurance company was satisfied and paid off for the new roof. After seeing how Andes Roofing performed and the quality of the materials they used, the price they charged and the job they did I would recommend them to everyone and I would never consider using another contractor in the future if needed. Many thanks to Joe, Tommy, Skyler and crew. Ray Gibson,...
Read moreAfter waiting over a month for someone to come and inspect our roof damage, Andes sent an employee that would be going on vacation the week after meeting with us. Although he seemed knowledgeable and polite, upon inspection he stated that there was enough hail damage (not why we asked them to come out) on our roof to warrent a replacement. Due to the costs of a total roof replacement, I reached out to our insurance company to file a claim. The inspector from Andes requested before leaving that he be present the day the insurance inspector came to the house. I spoke with the Andes employee by phone and was told the date he would be back from vacation and available to meet with the insurance adjuster. After setting up a date and time with insurance, I reached back out to the employee from Andes to let him know when the insurance agent would be at the property. No response. Probably because he was on vacation, which I understood. I then called the company directly explaining the situation and was told their employee had a Monday meeting, but would schedule my appointment and their supervisor would excuse him to attend the appointment he requested to be present at. After waiting 2 hours for the Andes employee to show up for the Monday appointment, and making the insurance adjuster wait hours to meet since Andes requested this, I finally called the company asking why their employee did not show up. I was told he was in a meeting and they did have my appointment on his schedule. The employee chose to not return calls, texts, or emails to notify me he would be in a meeting and unable to make the appointment. When management reached out to me to apologize, they blamed the scheduler for scheduling the appointment with me, instead of blaming the employee who chose to go on vacation, leave me his personal phone and email, and choose not to respond or notify me that he would not be showing up to meet the insurance adjuster. Terrible service. Do not make someone wait weeks to months for an inspection, send them someone going on vacation who is unavailable to contact, and then allow their scheduler to book an appointment they choose to ignore and not contact the homeowner. Additionally, the roof they quoted that needed a full repair, was denied by insurance, stating at max 30 shingles needed replaced and rejected my insurance claim, which is now on my...
Read moreFrom the first contact to job completion Andes Roofing was a pleasure to work with. Our sales rep Jason came out and did our initial inspection, and was incredibly thorough and informative. He even came back the next day to tarp our roof for free because he stated he wasn't comfortable knowing we had an active leak and more bad weather on the way! (And that was even before we had decided to go with Andes, we were still getting estimates from other companies at the time.) Jason gave a great presentation during the estimates phase and talked us through all of our options, with no pressure to make a decision immediately. Jason was so helpful throughout the entire process leading up to installation, answering all the random questions that popped up, and even came by to check on the progress the day of installation. Our day of project manager, Matthew, had excellent communication during the removal of our old roof and new installation. Andes use of the "Company Cam" really allows the client to feel like they are a part of the entire process, despite the fact that you could not pay me to voluntarily climb onto my roof! I could easily see what was happening throughout the entire process. Matthew kept me well informed of the progress along the way, and any changes to our original invoice amount. It's hard to know how much wood needs replaced until you can actually see it (which we were informed of beforehand, and given costs per sq/ft so we would know what to expect if it came to that), and being able to visually see the issues myself made me feel better about the added cost of materials, turns out it was a bit worse than any of us originally expected, but you can't budget for what you can't see/know. The entire team did a fantastic job, from inspection to installation and cleanup, we had no issues at all! The full transparency and excellent customer service from start to finish made what could have otherwise been an overwhelming and stressful process so much easier. As first time homeowners, we had no idea what to expect, and Andes has certainly set the bar high for any future projects! I won't need to pay for another roof anytime soon, but I've already started recommending them to...
