In my opinion, Cathy Lendhart at Design Savvy sets the gold standard for design! “Hands down” and “hands waiving in the air,” she has the right stuff when it comes to being on point with her artistic eye. I considered having a piece of furniture done in the future, but Cathy got me on her schedule and in no time, I now have a beautiful piece of art in my dining room! She will give you enough rope to hang yourself with your own vision, but if you do not tie her hands and give her the reigns, she will create something of pure beauty uniquely for you. She aims to please and will go out of her way to make “you the customer” happy in the end. When Cathy delivered my first piece, I gave her a tip for the entire order, but I was so pleased when she finished my second piece, I gave her an additional tip! Cathy is multifaceted in this line of work. A couple of weeks ago I had some filming done of me in my home. Cathy came through the back door while I was at work and rearranged items in my home and prepared the house for the filming. She even gave me ideas on what color I should wear for the filming. During the filming the producer pulled me aside and quietly asked me about my outfit and gave me big kudos on the color choice. I found a pearl in a sea of junk stores. Design Savvy Unique Finds, an antique store…definitely not a junk store. I needed a nightstand but didn’t want something without character. I saw what I could use as a nightstand and it just made me feel as if it was meant to be. It made me happy. After a long search for any nightstand I found it here at Design Savvy. Also the owner treated me as if she has known me for years…I will be returning often as she has such a variety of items. Would highly recommend if you love antique shops.

UPDATE. April 17, 2025: I was looking for a cabinet to keep my tea cups and saucers safe. Of course I found a cabinet at Design Savvy! All the character I love. I stopped in the store with my Mom and the owner happened to be there, and we struck up a conversation about what exactly I was looking for. She took the time to listen and help guide me and then suggested I paint the furniture I already had! So, Mom & I signed up for her painting class, I brought a dresser drawer with me, and it was so much fun!!!
