Zero stars. I went to their welding program when it cost $750. I had welding experience before and just never got certified and I will admit I was rusty and haven’t had time under the hood for a couple years. Well now this program costs about $1350. And it is not worth it at all. 3 or 4 hours of training 2 days a week for 9 weeks. You’re robbing yourself blind. Idk which welding instructor runs it but back then it was Mr. G (he’s an older black dude) and he berated every student saying he was the best and you aren’t. He made a fool of a handful of students including myself. It’s been a while since I welded and he gave me a rod that I wasn’t use to and it was basically a trick question that was hands on. Long story short I did the class for literally a day and the very next day after class I went to request a refund. They lead me on saying I just needed to talk to some white lady in the office and they would approve it from there. She asked me questions why I didn’t want to continue and why I wanted a refund and it fell on deaf ears. She said since I consumed materials in that one day in class I couldn’t get a refund. Not even the vast portion of it that’s rightfully mine. Just because I consumed maybe 5 rusted and contaminated rods and some thin gauge sheet metal. The cost would probably be maybe 10$ in total for materials not counting the energy being consumed by machines and maybe the cost of that instructor that was a total D. Long story short the white lady laughed me out of her office with a smirk on her face. I continued to work warehouse jobs and I stumbled across CET in Colton. Their tuition is 10k (back in 2021) and I got my welding cert for stick welding. Since I graduated there I can come back and practice and recertify or get different welding certs since I finished schooling. They have a curriculum there and they have it down in segments. It’s up to you if you wanna give yourself the short end of the stick and be like the other guy that got shafted by these people. The program is 9 months long at CET.. don’t give these people your money just bc they’re part of the county doesn’t mean they have your best interest if you want to be a welder. For the lady that screwed me out of my money thank you for doing that. I would’ve never gotten my welding cert if I hadn’t gave CET a try. I am now an Infantryman in the U.S. Army so thanks for putting me on this path I got to see so many countries that you...
Read morewhat a terrible welding class that they operate here. I just finished the 9 weeks course and man I’m not sure where to even begin, the class description says we were going to be shown how to TIG & MIG weld and i was never taught. Teacher only teaches us stick and flux core welding which has nothing to do with TIG & MIG so the class description is totally wrong. Secondly, we share classrooms with Norte Vista Welding class and man the classroom is always such a mess. Not once when i came here the classroom was clean, we always had to clean up after the students mess so we can simply put our welding gear on the table. We supposedly had a table just for us welding students and the actually school students would always leave a mess on the table when we would always clean up after ourselves when we left. Third reason, this program lacks heavy on the material we used for this program. They said they ordered all this material, rods, metals, etc and it never got here until the last week of school so the whole 8 weeks, we were using very old rods that were expired , cheap metals that we took for the actual class from the high school since we didn’t HAVE NO MATERIAL Because of that, my welds weren’t the best since we didn’t have no material, basically the material came in on the last week of school, is going to be for the next class. Overall, terrible experience, it’s honestly not worth the $1350 that i payed for the welding program and the worst part about it was that i lived an hour from the location of the classroom so driving an hour there and an hour back for what i was receiving from the class was just not worth it honestly. Terrible experience, save your money and look for another...
Read moreMrs.C was one of the most passionate, informational, dedicated teachers I have ever had in my life. She was there when I needed help, she gave me words of wisdom, and just always provided positive affirmations throughout the course. She was very understanding both in the classroom and in the clinical setting. She always remained professional throughout these past five months and I am so honored to have been in her class. She pushed me to keep going and to never give up. And because of that, I am officially enrolled into an LVN school. Thank You Mrs. C...
