Mission Furniture — Local services in Riverside

I had an extremely frustrating experience at Mission Furniture, and I feel compelled to share it to warn others.

Deceptive Sales Tactics: When we first visited the store, the salesperson was very convincing. They assured us that the store had its own warehouse and could make a custom sectional for us in just 10 days. Based on these promises, we decided to place our order which totaled about $3500.

False Promises & Delays: After the 10 days passed with no word from the store, we started calling to get an update. That’s when the nightmare began. The salesperson and the store receptionists were either rude, dismissive, or simply did not return our calls. We were given the runaround, with no clear answers or updates on the status of our sectional while the sectional was already funded in full.

Unacceptable Delay: It has now been nearly a month since our purchase, and we still don’t have our sectional. Every time we call, we are met with indifference or vague responses. It’s clear that they have no intention of delivering the product as promised, and we can’t get a straight answer about when, or even if, it will be completed.

Customer Service Failure: The lack of communication and poor customer service is shocking. We trusted this store with our money and expected a certain level of professionalism, but they have failed miserably on every front.

I strongly advise against doing business with Mission Furniture. They make grand promises to get your money but fail to deliver on them. Save yourself the stress and shop elsewhere. When we asked for some kind of discount or refund they flat out said no and specified that “their margins are too small to allow it” as if we were the ones who set the price or their margins.

On a Saturday they kept us in suspense the whole day refusing to confirm if it would or would not be delivered that day. Then when we call for the 5th time in the day the sales person says, “It’s a good problem to have, because we are very busy” as if we wanted to hear about how good business is when we haven’t received what we paid for weeks prior.

Final Thought: We considered purchasing other furniture items from them, but that will definitely not be the case after this fiasco. Now excuse me while I go sit on the floor since we got rid of our old...

We got an entire house of 4 bedrooms furnished through Mission Furniture and we’re glad we did. Their prices are quite affordable and inexpensive when compared to some other furniture outlets. A convenient bonus is that they have almost inexhaustible collections that allow for a “pick and choose” mentality. They’re simply your one-stop furniture outlet.

Ana was our point person and she was beyond incredible. She combines an excellent sales acumen with a human touch. She was gentle, patient and gave us the VIP treatment with a dedicated time and attention. We felt welcome and important. On top of it all, she did not appear to be bothered by our two little ones that almost turned the open showroom into their playground.

The entire Mission Furniture Team are to be applauded for combining business with a human touch....

We’ve been coming here for years now, however we just learned new management took over within the last year and I’m even more in LOVE with this place now. They have super friendly people assisting you and guiding you (without the pushy tactics that we all hate) and the furniture is super nice and modern. They have a HUGE SELECTION too.
