Extra Space Storage — Local services in Robbinsville Township

One year update. I have to say that my experience with Extra Space storage over the course of the year I have been with them has been CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT. Renewed my unit today with Tyler from Extra Space, who honored the agreement that Alex and I had worked out two weeks ago. We were able to agree to a fair rate increase. I know people are concerned about how storage companies raise fees once they have your stuff. Based on my experience, if you have an honest conversation with Extra Space, they are happy to work with you.

I was able to negotiate up front a fair, fixed rate for a full year that I paid in advance. (Hoping I won’t need to update this review in a year when my current contract ends.)

The facility itself is very nice. It feels very secure, modern, new, and clean. All instructions provided were clear and everything worked...

Be warned - this place does bait and switches. If you look at their website, you can see “in store monthly costs” and then a “online monthly cost”. The in store price is crossed out, leaving one to assume the online price is the price for the unit, which is reasonable. You then rent a unit and move in and everything is great… until a couple months later when they jack the price up 3-4 times the “online” rate you agreed to. A $50 a month space suddenly becomes $150 a month. They also increase rates once or twice a year it seems giving you 30 days notice. No reason a storage unit should constantly increase in price, its a finite space. Between the drastic increase in monthly rate, coupled with the consistent repeated increase in rates throughout the year for no real reason, id skip this place....

I have been to several storage facilities and the Extra Space Storage facility of 130N in Robbinsville, NJ takes the cake! First of all, I can’t say enough about the staff. Mario and Tania are absolutely amazing. They are both so incredibly attentive and eager to help. They both have helped me on multiple occasions to select the proper units for my storage needs. They are always so patient with all of my questions and have made so many thoughtful and useful recommendations. They are both very efficient and thorough as well. The facility itself is So clean and it is very secure with its many cameras and locked doors. They even have music playing and indoor bathrooms!I highly recommend utilizing this facility. The best decision ever!I wish I could give more...
