Years ago I found myself in the small town of Roberta after a very long road trip leaving Sapelo Island. I stopped on the side of the road to stretch my legs and let my Bassett hound milkdud walk around and noticed a slight pain in the upper portion of my right leg. I didn’t think anything of it, but conveniently found myself next to care connect, so I figured I would get it checked out. As I opened the door to their entry way I saw smiling faces from a sick child whom one of the employees was talking to about Santa . I have never seen such a personable care giver taking time out of their schedule to make someone feel so embraced. I sat down after checking in and it was seconds before I was seen…wow, I thought… this NEVER happens. I walked in the back where I was greeted by two other employees who prepped me to see the doctor. The room I was in was the perfect temperature which most offices are so terribly cold. I pulled off my coat to get examined. It was not long before the doctor advised me I may possibly have an occlusion in my femoral artery. She generated the paperwork and an expediting fashion and referred me to the help I needed to get. I was again amazed about the way they treated their patients. We laughed and although my issue was one of a serious nature, the calming demeanor they bestowed upon me made me feel at home and like everything was ok. I thanked them all kindly and me and milkdud drove off to seek additional testing. Upon leaving the driveway I just so happened to look in my rear view mirror to see one of the nurses running behind me waving my jacket. I knew I forgot something and when she got to my window she was all smiles. I thanked her and called their office to get all of there names. I will forever use Lori, Shelby, and Amanda as my primary care providers. They are simply the best and I will forever be grateful for my stop in the small town of Roberta. I had a very positive experience with this office today. I have had to find a new primary care provider due to an insurance change which is hard as I really loved my former primary care practice. I am so happy that I decided to choose CareConnect in Roberta! Everyone was professional, kind, and patient with me. Nurse Kemp listened to me and treated me with respect and a gentle manner - so important, especially when you have chronic health issues. The office was clean and organized. They also have an online portal which makes paperwork and communications easy and efficient.
