The salon is beautiful and friendly atmosphere. Lindsey did a nice job on my cut and all over color.....but a few things were very disappointing to me to where I will not be returning for another appointment or recommending it to family or friends. One, I had an appointment at 9am and another appointment for a different client was scheduled at 10am. While some of the stylists were micromanaging 2 clients, it takes away from the pampering experience. At the end of my appointment I was told "I don't have a whole lot of time to style your hair" (being she had another client waiting) and it was the day of my birthday. Second, on the service menu online it list the prices for services. For my cut/style and color it should have been $87. When I went to pay for my service, I was told $122. Before you charge a customer, it's always best to tell them ahead of time what the extra color is going to cost, which I have no issue paying for but have the courtesy to mention it first. I felt like I was rushed out of there because it was getting busy. Normally I'm very generous on tipping when it comes to the stylist doing my hair and the service/experience I'm given. The little things can go along way for clients that only take a few minutes for a stylist, but for my first time experience, it ended not so well. I have been going to Allie for years! She is an incredible hairdresser. Although, more than that, she is a wonderful woman. All the people that work there are so kind and talented. They never judge you (like, for example, I use box dye- but they don’t shame me). They stay up to date on new techniques. The products they sell are diverse. I can’t say enough good things! My mom, mother in law, and both my daughters get their hair done at Al’s & Company and I would recommend it...
