If I could give The Dog House more stars, I would. They literally made our vacations this summer possible. After calling over 8 dog boarding places in the area, The Dog House were the only ones willing to work with our rescued Pitbull who has had many traumatic experiences in the past. He has been at at least two different shelters, has been in the streets during a very cold winter, and has been shot in the face with a BB gun, etc. All of that has turned him into a very anxious dog who doesn't get along with other dogs. For this reason, many places were not able to accept him for boarding, which I understand. After contacting The Dog House, they patiently answered all of my questions and were willing to work with my dog and to accommodate his needs as long as he wasn't aggressive with the employees. We did a one day try out, and it was great! After that, we took him for a week stay while we were on vacation. We signed up to receive updates/pictures every other day. We were relieved and pleased to see how happy he looked and how the employees at The Dog House were going above and beyond to build a relationship with him and earn his trust. I highly recommend this place. They are AMAZING and they genuinely care...
Read moreI really cannot recommend The Dog House enough! I bring my dog there a few times a week and she loves it! It’s really helped her learn how to socialize with other dogs and gain more confidence. It has just been amazing for her. I really feel like the staff truly loves the dogs (and cats!) that are there, and they are so amazing with my pup. Every member of the staff is so friendly, and I know that my pup is in great hands.
That’s not even the HALF of it though. The groomer, Chrissy, is THE BEST. My dog would not allow ANYONE to trim her nails. I had to have the vet put her under just to do this, it was awful! Chrissy took the time to work with my pup and has been able to trim her nails now! I don’t have to put her under anymore. She really is amazing.
You can also get farm fresh eggs that taste sooo good. If you can’t tell, 10/10,...
Read moreI will never use The Dog House again. Last year, I dropped off my dog for a week. When I picked her up she looked OK but smelled funny. She developed severe diarrhea the next day and was dead the next. I cannot say for certain that the kennel was the cause, but when I called to tell them what happened and they might have a problem, I was told that it was not their fault and it must have been an existing condition. I really was not looking to blame anyone, but wanted them to know what happened. Like I said, I will never use The Dog House again.
