This is easily the most enthusiastic I've ever felt to write a review. From start to finish the team we worked with at Foundation Restoration has gone above and beyond any expectations we could have had.

I reached out to them because we had a crack in our wall that another business told us required helical piers to remedy. They quoted us at $32,000 for the job and me, not knowing much about construction or foundation work, thought that seemed plausible. I wanted a second opinion, though, and wound up getting an inspection from Pete with Foundation Restoration. Right away he was able to rule out pier work - explained to me exactly why that wasn't the issue and immediately got to work figuring out what the real problem was. He knew this was all new to me and what the previous quote was - could have said they'd do the same job for $30,000 and I would've believed him. Instead he went over all my concerns and was able to address each of them in layman's terms, explaining what he thought was urgent, what he thought could wait, and what he said I didn't need to worry about. All told, the job he outlined would cost $7000 and would entirely reinforce the center of the house that was buckling due to the weight of a fireplace that had been put in without proper support.

I was just grateful to have a bill a fraction of what I'd been braced for but I was still anticipating a complete upheaval of our home while the work was being done. I couldn't have been more wrong. The entire process was seamless! Despite their being numerous electrical issues to work around (Kevin, the electrician they sent, did fantastic and expedient work to resolve) and a cramped workspace to work the joists into - someone fitting 14' boards through a gap between a steel support beam and HVAC vent system that left far less than 14' to work between - they were able to have the entire job in a single day! And again, through every step of the process Pete was happy and eager to answer any questions or concerns I had - including about general house concerns and other potential projects where my lack of knowledge was leaving me anxious and uncertain about what repairs to prioritize and what to leave for later.

Would recommend Foundation Restoration enthusiastically and without reservation to anyone! A delight to work with through and through. Couldn't be happier and the peace of mind we have now from having this work finished, and knowing who to call for any concerns or projects in the future, has been just as valuable as the work they did. ALWAYS get more than one estimate. Thats what I was told and i am glad I listened.

I'm a new home owner of a 20 uear old home. I have a crack in my ceiling and my brother told me it could be foundation related and advised me to get it looked at. The first reputable company I had come out to my home told me it was moisture in the crawl space, we had a dip in our floor, we need shim replacements, a dehumidifier and posts and quoted me almost $10k. My husband and I were not happy with the news to say the least.

Pete K. came out and I expected the same result. However he walked through and observed the entire house..he had laser levelers and measuring tape (the other company didn’t do this. They walked to the areas i showed them with cracks). BEFORE going to my crawl space he upfront said, "I don't think you have foundation issues". I was surprised to hear this. He explained the age of my home, settling, the constructuon of homes with open floor plans as it relates to tress support,etc. As potential contributing factors to the crack in my ceiling. He returned from the crawl space said the complete opposite of the first company. Not only did he confirm I didn't have foundation issues, he used levelers to show me the dip In my floor and it was under a quarter of an inch. He also noticed some other things unrelated to the foundation to avoid furure problems like getting our gutters extended to get wsrer away from tbe house. I thanked him because he could have tried to sale business and services we didn't need. BUT He didn't and I'm grateful for this. We could have been out thousands of dollars for nothing.

Ben did a fabulous job identifying an initial home construction error by the builder that caused my floors to sink. Ben has been doing Project Work Orders for 15 years, and has been in the construction business before that for another 15 years. He likes to solve "puzzles", so he was the perfect guy to figure out what was happening to my home. I purchased my dream home in 2020, and in the 5 years I've been in the house, settling has caused some damage. I live on a lake, with an encapsulated crawl space, and I noticed the floor moldings were getting separated from the floor, also some of my tile had been losing grout and tipping back and forth, there were several stress cracks on walls, and doors that would not close properly. Ben went subterranean and within 30 seconds saw the problem: My 2" x 10" floor joists travelled a distance of 17 feet from the middle of the house to the edge of the house. That's way too long of a span without support. He developed a detailed drawing of the fix, which involved several metal I beams and several jacks that pushed the I beams up to the desired height. Work was scheduled for the next week and the 3 man crew (led by Jeff), protected my home with drop cloths, and kept the house amazingly clean and finished the project In 1 day. Immediately the issues I had noticed and documented were fixed.

When I started considering this project I thought it would be scheduled several months in advance, but was very happy to be scheduled so quickly (within the next week of Ben's assessment). (Angie actually called me to see if the crew could come a day earlier than our scheduled time because they were available, so that's also pretty cool)!

Obviously, I'm very, very happy with the whole process and outcome and highly recommend Foundation Restoration. There's many reasons they receive so many 5...
