I sent them my psvr2 headset because there were smudges on the inside of the lenses that couldn't be wiped away without taking the headset apart. Unfortunately they came direct from PlayStation that way at launch. I just put up with it, because I wasn't hearing anything good about trying to return them for a replacement. Also, it was my 1st VR headset, so I wasn't sure if it was something common or not. Well, after nearly 2 years I decided to see if I could find a place that worked on them and found Fix My Oculus. I wasn't too thrilled that they don't list a phone number to actually talk to someone, but I reached out and requested their services thru the link on their site. 1st and foremost, they offer an expedited repair and a standard time frame repair. Sadly, the standard repair time will take them at least a month to get to your unit despite their website claiming roughly 2 weeks. Also, there's no way to call them for an update on the progression. My advice is to purchase the expedited repair which will get your device to the front of the line, which should take them only about a day or two, once they receive it. That will cost roughly $28. What's really nice though is that they will cover the cost of shipping regardless of which service you want, so I highly recommend going with the expedited repair, which is essentially like paying for the shipping, but getting your device fixed before everyone else. Now about the repair: I just received it today and have been using it for the last few hours and can't see any defect, smudge, mark, scratch etc... They did a GREAT job. I couldn't be more impressed with the quality of the work they've done. From the time they informed me the work was complete, till the time I received my headset was 7 days, and that was over labor day weekend. It is probably quicker if you aren't dealing with a holiday. They also cover return shipping costs as well. The cost of my repair was $99. For me, it was well worth the wait and price. All in all, I will definitely recommend them for any repairs you might need. If I ever need another repair, I'd use their services again, but I will be paying the extra for the expedited...
Read moreI forgot to make an account on their site so I can't actually review my purchase for a Quest 2 controller repair, but I sent my left one in for a joystick repair for drift, it cost 30 bucks flat (a good halfway point between custom repair kits and simply buying new), no shipping or tax. The turnaround was about 10 days including weekends and was pretty hassle-free on my end, and it came back without the drift. Communication usually got a response within a day unless it was on weekends, and while the box came back damaged, that's probably the fault of USPS - the controller itself was still fine, since I included a lot of bubble wrap and they also put some in for the way back. Of course, I'm writing this minutes after receiving the repaired product, so I can't say how long it'll last, but considering they told me they replace the entire joystick unit, it'll probably be a decent while! Good value if you are too scared to break open a controller yourself.
EDIT: I'm keeping this review at 5 stars because of the value of the end result, but I do have to share that the first repair actually ended up being faulty. However, this did not become a large hassle, as they allowed me to send it back free of charge, after I verified that my issues could not be resolved with settings. In particular, buttons and the stick were loose, with improper sensitivity settings and a weird clicking issue with the stick. After sending it back in and receiving it back, the product now works perfectly fine, with any issues being minor and not really an inconvenience (the menu button sinks into the controller a little, but it can still be pressed without issues). Customer support is very kind and understanding, and will answer questions within a reasonable time frame of usually less...
Read moreI’ve had a very disappointing experience. For context it is now Jan 18th. I've been a fan of the company for a while, following them on YouTube and supporting their work. After scratching the lens on my Quest 3s, I thought it would be a great opportunity to support a small business. I ordered my lenses on January 3rd and received a shipping confirmation on January 5th, indicating that my package had been shipped. However, 11 days later, UPS claims they still haven't received it. I called a week ago and was told that it should update soon, but when I called again, I was informed that the package hadn’t been picked up until January 13th. During this time, I’ve sent about five emails and haven’t received a single reply, even though I’ve received quick responses to other general inquiries in the past. The only way I can get any information is by calling the storefront in Arkansas, but the responses I’ve received have been conflicting and frankly dismissive of my issue. I’m sure the company is great at repairs, and the team seems friendly, but my experience has been frustrating. At this point, I’m receiving no replies to my emails and no return calls, even after being told I would. It's probably UPS fault but they can only file an investigation if the sender contacts them and as of Jan 16th they haven't.
Edit finally around the 19th the reached out and provided me with an accurate tracking number. Unfortunately the parts they shipped me are in rough condition. The adhesive on both the lenses has come off in the packaging. My whole experience with this company has been amateur hour. By your parts from ali baba. I had hoped they're parts would be higher quality but they are worse...
