A & L Market — Local services in Rohnert Park

Had been fine in the past, but went there 8/10/2022 around 11pm to get some midnight ice cream and had a terrible experience. Only brought cash to buy some stuff but didn't bring enough. The total came to 12.58 but I only had 12 so I took an item off and it went to 10.18 so I handed the clerk the 12 anyway. He rang it up as 11 and handed me back 82 cents. I said that I'm pretty sure I handed him 12 and he said "No you didn't you handed me 11." Then proceeded to hand me 11 dollars and asked me to count it. He had already put it in the cash register and closed it so this means nothing as it was not separated or stored in any unique order. He simply handed me 1 dollar less than I gave and told me to count it. I don't like arguing with people at 11pm in a convenience store so I left. Nothing I can do now but share my experience and hope people decide to go the couple blocks extra to go somewhere that doesn't steal from its customers. Wonderful Staff, Owners. They are invested in the community and their Customer's. I needed cat food and ran in for quick purchase late at night. Convenient, good choices for a small store that even thought of dogs and cats. Overall 5/5 Service Price $ affordable and very reasonable. 6 cans of cat food just over $8. That's superb. Parking not a problem Location not for for College or High School and Resident's near C Section of Rohnert Park. Most important were the smiles I received upon walking in. Thank you...

UPDATE: Every time that I go to A&L Market, there are these 2 men working. They I yeract with the customers and everyone ends up laughing and having a good time.
