I purchased two annual memberships primarily for exercise in the lap pool, we follow the pool schedule, yet failed to see the daycare exclusion. Still can't find it. So if you want to use the lap pool for its true reason, be prepared to dodge children at play, and be on the look out for the ones that will just jump in while you're doing laps. Even though the schedule is clear the life guards refuse to adhere to it, I have been given multiple responses such as: They've been here awhile so it's okay, open swim is over and the other side is closed, So What and my favorite THE OWNER SAID IT WAS OKAY. I have run into the same girl (5-7 yrs old) twice now on two different days, so if safety is a concern for your children beware. I paid for two memberships, quite expensive, that we can't use. Can you say FRAUD. Cleanliness, I would suggest if you use the shower to wear shoes, not just because it looks nasty. I have stayed clear since hearing someone hacking and spitting in them. I joined in Jan. and since then have noticed the swirling life like sediment in the Vortex pool getting bigger and bigger, I asked the lifeguard about it and she asked another staff member. But since he couldn't reach it with a pole, too bad. The sediment builds up on the walls and the floor of the pool continues to get worse as well. There is no such thing as maintenance free. The lifeguards have it made, they stand out by the pool for 30 minutes, then rotate. However they don't rotate positions, the main reason for rotating is to keep them alert. They rotate to the office area for a break. So essentially they can get paid for an 8 hour day and spend half of that time on break. Our Tax dollars are hard at work, not the lifeguards. Apparently performing general maintenance is beneath them While I reported these issues with the lap pool to Lauren Ryan who is supposedly the facility manager, though her title also says Director, the replies I've gotten from her seem to flip flop. She fully agrees with me on the use of the lap pool in her first reply, then disagrees in her second. She also informed me that taking photos is prohibited, so all you parents who took pictures beware, even though this review page asks you to share your photos and comments according to Lauren Ryan it's prohibited. Basically a membership here is nothing but a rip off, one I will...

Update: I am happy that someone listens to the reviews and actually doing something about it... Yesterday we went and the water was great, I saw kids have actually have fun and learn instead of just shivering, teachers looked happy instead of just freezing and parents had a blast as well... Keep it up Romeoville !! Moving review to 4* if it continues will get 5.

I'm pretty torn on this place as much as I'm trying to like it cause it's clean and staff if friendly, the water is just COLD... I have my child signed up for the swimming lessons, but half of the time of those lessons, my child is shivering, I just don't think this is productive, ambient temperature of the place got a little better after talking to the manager, after doing some research online I found that for competitive pools temperature should be up to 82F (this is not a competitive pool) and for commercial pools should be anywhere between 82-84F unfortunately this pool today was standing at 80F.... I spoke to other parents who are also not thrilled at the state of the pool atm... hopefully, staff takes some pointers and makes some simple...

Completely disappointed me that I spent $600 for a party to be ruined. I wasn't told there was a open free swim to residents but another party would be going next door okay fine no problem. There where children dropped off and no parents in sight during my sons birthday party. Poor lifeguards couldn't find the parents. It ruined are party these outsiders.Pool ended up being closed because someone's child decided to poop everywhere and another puking hotdogs. Water was cold and room temperature was set to 68° it wasnt as promised. Everyones lips where blue.You think the right thing to do would be refund my $.I called 5days in a row after to get my $ back to get no answer. Don't bring your kids her it's disgusting and waste of $.I ended up with chemical burns on my hands from the water and sick. I'm out raged. I could have done so much more then...
