RUSH CITY AUTO — Local services in Rush City

My wife and I bought a car back in August of 2017 from Rush City Auto, we bought a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox. My wife had purchased a vehicle with them before, and had good luck with it, so we felt pretty confident that the vehicle would work out. Shortly after we bought the vehicle, in early September we had a problem with it shutting down while driving it, I checked the oil, and found out that it was 3 quarts low. I contacted Dustin about the problem, and he set up a service for it with his mechanic in North Branch. The service they set up did not take care of the problem, and we brought it back several times to get it fixed between Sept 2017, and Jan of 2018. We also had several other issues that came up with this vehicle in that time period, and in December of 2017 we also had transmission issues. We spoke to Dustin, and Todd, and they took the vehicle to try and fix it again, they flushed the transmission, and gave me an answer that the oil consumption was not fixable, and that the 2011 2.4 has an oil consumption issue. The transmission went out the end of January, and now the vehicle is sitting unable to be driven. We purchased the vehicle for $7,395 and I still owe $6,800. I understand we bought if as is, and they did attempt to try and fix it several times, but the reason we bought the vehicle here in our town was because we felt that if there was a problem that they would take care of it. We let them know shortly after we bought it about the oil consumption, and feel the should have offered a different vehicle right away instead of trying to tell us it was fixable, and put band aids on it in between. This has been a nightmare for us, and now we are stuck with a vehicle that we cant use. I realize Rush City Auto did not choose for this to happen, but I feel they could have dealt with it...

Had been searching for a Ford Escape on market place but most who have stuff for sale would not respond back I truly wanted to buy from a private party ,I then came across the Escape with low miles, color interior and exterior I really liked I kept it in my saved items and than decided to message got a quick response and everything I did thru Facebook messaging easier for me with my job ,agreed on price got my loan drove an 1.5 hr to get there and was told to test drive it to make sure everything was and good and that I wanted it ,The vehicle description was spot on photos were completely accurate took it home and put 600 miles on in 2 days I love it the ease and convenient messaging and accuracy and kindness of Duddy AKA Dustin was fun and personality was amazing ,nice small town friendly and efficient...

This would be my first experience purchasing a vehicle here. From the very start Dustin was awesome to work with. I was waiting on a check in mail and we all know how slow the post office can be. And dustin was willing to hold the truck I was interested in purchasing. From the start i could tell that as long as you communicate they are willing to do just about anything for you. Which to me is unheard of in the business of selling used cars. As I'm from Minneapolis and most if not all businesses are unwilling to hold a vehicle for you for a few hours let alone 3 days as was the case for me.
