My son and l had a FABULOUS EXPERIENCE at the Monster Truck Show last weekend in Rutland’s Vermont State Fair. We loved the roar of the engines of Bounty Hunter, Jekyll and Hyde , Scarlett Bandit- and the other Monster Trucks.
What a SHOW !
Their driving exemplified the most awesome skill and talents driving and handling these monstrous vehicles . The maneuvering over the hills and the deft landing time and time again by these vehicles made the crowds ROAR amidst the swirling dust.
We could not get over the high speeds exhibited by these drivers - they were going full throttle !
If you love doughnuts by these huge vehicles , Vermont State Fair is the front and center exhibition stage for you.
We joined the crowds cheering these amazing drivers !
The event also gave publicity to a Junior Monster Truck Race , Dirt Bike Exhibition and a Bike Race all by appropriate aged kids.

Read moreThis fair is the worst fair I've ever been to! To even call it a state fair is a joke! The only reason I go is because it's 5 minutes from my house and I have young kids. The Addison County Fair is much better and from what I've heard so is the one near Burlington, but I've never been so I can't say for sure. Next year we'll drive to the Washington County Fair in NY. That is a real fair. It's really a shame that the organizers of the VT State fair have let it get to such a poor state because of the obvious mismanagement. The property is large and could hold so many more exhibits if they were willing to make some changes. While I'm on it, the property should be utilized way more throughout the year. Rutland really needs more events to bring people to the area and the fair grounds is a great...
Read moreWas very discouraged with the rides. We purchased bracelets for two 2 year olds and 2 of the rides out of 4 were not running because of lack of staff either being there or disappearing away from the rides. Then when I spoke with the lady in charge of them she said "they are down right now, just come back in a few ". So we go eat, come back and one is still unattended and a man was running 2 at the same time but said the 2 year olds were too small to ride them. Even though they had already rode the one about three times in a row. So we go to the ride right next to it and that guy let them on and never said a way about them being too small... They should not sell you a $20.00 dollar bracelet for kids that they know are too small too ride. Remind you nothing was said or posted...
