Moonshadows Gifts for the Spirit — Local services in Saint Albans City

Let me start off by saying up until recently every experience I’ve had in this store has been great. I decided to post this review after seeing others complain about similar things about the same employee. Recently for my birthday my friend and I drove up to visit moonshadows to try to get myself a nice birthday present. I drove 45 minutes in a really bad snow storm to get there and ended up getting there 25 minutes before they close, generally I try to avoid going into stores this close to closing but I was going in with the intention of being quick. I walked in and was told that “we close in 15 minutes, so don’t think you’re gonna spend forever looking around.” This has sort of irritated me (lying about how much longer they’re open and the attitude it was said with, presuming that since I’m young (20s) im just there to waste her time and window shop) but i began to look around anyway. About five minutes pass to which she responds by telling me “not trying to be a nag but we close in 10 minutes,” again with a tone. At this point my friend and i both walked out instead of dealing with her attitude about us coming in. We get in our car and IMMEDIATELY after we get in she locks up the store and steps outside to smoke a cigarette (my car clock and my phone now says they close in 15 minutes.) So my friend and I were rushed out and discouraged from making a purchase, which was going to be an expensive treat for myself, so she could close 15 minutes early and smoke a cigarette. She was extremely rude and the only time i plan to visit again is after ensuring she is NOT working. The other woman who works there has always been so welcoming and friendly and it’s very disappointing that someone so poor with customers is at this otherwise...

Love Moonshadows and what it adds to our community, and I think the owner is fantastic! However the other woman that works there adds such a bad vibe to the store. Very condescending, terrible attitude and seems like all she wants is for you to get out. Myself and many others go to Moonshadows to feel peace and comfort but I will not be returning while this worker is there. After seeing the other negative reviews presumably about her I hope the owner does something about...

Waited 20 minutes to be helped. The lady was taking with her friend, watching us wait in line. Finally she said "are you waiting patiently?" to my husband. He nodded yes and she laughed and said "Good!" Then continued ignoring us. I asked to use the restroom and she said it's not for customers.
