Lovely Salon and Spa — Local services in Saint Francis

Terrible experience with hair color. Staff has high turnover so right when you find someone decent, the stylists keep changing. In 3 years, I’ve had 3 different people cut and color my hair. Waited months for this appointment to find the stylist is no longer there. Upon request, they moved me to a more experienced stylist. the stylist in in early 20s and barely has a few years under her belt. How is she experienced?! She keeps pulling my hair and is so rough. Even after subtle comments and ouches, she doesn’t stop. After the fact, I could tell that she had never worked with dark hair, and my hair ended up orange after color. Her fix was to have me come in the next day and color it dark brown. I paid 250 for a botched hair job that could have been done better with a box at home. I waited a month to calm down before I posted this review. I’m so beyond mad.

If you want a cut, this place is fine. If you need color, you will pay the same at a real salon downtown. This is a wanna be with prices that do not match the service.

Girlfriend had an appointment here today, we have never gone to this salon, but decided to give it a shot. We went with the stylist that was available (needed the hair done by this weekend). The starting cost of “150” we were expecting it to go up to around 350ish since she wanted it a specific way and color. When she got to the salon they told her the price would be around 380$ a bit pricey but worth it if it came out the way she wanted. It all went south the color didn’t come out to what she wanted at all, it’s like they just bleached her hair and made it a little bit lighter I couldn’t even tell the difference. On top of that they wanted to charge her the full price and have her come again for what I guess would be another 380$ session….what kind of service is this? If the stylist was not able to do the job then they should not do it (out of professionalism) and if they do take on the job then they should provide the service to a point where the costumer...

Have been going to Lovely for several years, and every visit is impeccably excellent. Lovely has set up a beautiful, tasteful, stylish, peaceful environment with down-to-earth music and genuine good service. The staff at Lovely are just plain great at what they do, and their confidence shines in quality customer service and fantastic results. I recently moved out of state and have already been back once for my Lovely fix, and I will be sure to arrange a visit each time I return to Milwaukee. Other salons just don't compare. Now that Lovely has all salon/spa services you could need, you can enjoy a full treatment without the slightest hint of corporate business. Also, I know for a fact they are especially talented in treating curly hair of all types. Lastly, they have the most comfortable hair wash chairs I have ever sat in!
