Landmark Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Milwaukee

Update: I take no pleasure in leaving negative reviews, but after dining-in on Sunday October 26th, myself and others experienced symptoms of food poisoning. Losing 1.5 days to constant nausea from food is 100% preventable. Additionally, the chilaquiles is incredibly sad and should be removed from the specials menu. The service is always good, but I feel like the kitchen has taken a downturn as someone who always order the corned beef hash omelette.

Can you blame someone for never wanting to return?

Original review: It's exactly what you're hoping for. A real diner with attentive service and way too many coffee refills. They even write your bill on a paper ticket....

I really enjoyed my time in this diner :) The waitress was incredibly kind and the diner felt homely and friendly. It was very clean and the booths were really comfy. The food was good and there are free refills on coffee !! It was priced really good as well and I didn’t have the usual money anxiety I get when eating out Also personal preference but I love that they play no music and there is only spanish tv playing in the background - it makes me very nostalgic :) The staff were kind and there was no rushing us as we sat and ate, and me and my friend were able to sit and talk without feeling like we were overstaying our welcome !! Definitely want to come...

Everything was great, food, service, atmosphere until one of the ladies had the audacity to ask my wife and I if there was a reason why “we never tip”. Caught of guard we didn’t know what to say, but tell them we do leave a tip once in a while. She replied with “no you don’t, we notice between all my coworkers”. Since when is it a requirement to tip? I get its courtesy to do so for the service, but that is very well earned. I love to tip my waitresses and usually leave a very generous tip when they aren’t rushing or have to call them to us to ask for something. Unfortunately her poor attitude was uncalled for, but I don’t expect much more. Hope they do...
