This mansion is definitely the home to many spirits. A small group of girls from the family visited, we are not investigators however you don't need to be such in order to experience the haunts here. MaryAnn the host and her husband Gary were great. Gave us a lengthy tour and wealth of knowledge that was helpful as we embarked on our night at the Beattie Mansion. We experienced so much paranormal activity. Everything including voices, singing, piano playing, moving objects on request as well as random, fighter jets sound, intelligent communication in the kids room with balls, rotary phone, aberiscion, hair being touched and then communicated, doors being held closed... lots of activity in the evening and it actually lessened towards the early AM hours. We stayed awake and enjoyed our visit the entire night. We will be back but if it's cold out we will dress much warmer and bring blankets for our little 15 minute regrouping in the bunkroom. They did turn the heater on for us in the bunkroom and we were warm in there but didn't spend much of our time in that room so be prepared and dress warm if your planning to truly explore and visit the spirits throughout this mansion. But the house gave off a disturbing Presents which I loved..... my favorite memory was me and my brother where in Mabel's room calling out to Mabel. And when. We did that we waited for a few minutes to see if something would happen. Which to my surprise something did happen. Me and him heard a door slam followed by spring foot steps in the hallway. Read moreI'm not usually into the paranormal tourism stuff, but i can tell you this: neither of my two Chihuahuas will walk on the same side of the road as this house. Over the years i've tried to force them to just stay on the sidewalk when passing Beattie Mansion but they freak out, drag me across the street, or plant themselves low to the ground and refuse to move. And they have never acted this way anywhere else in St. Joseph....
