I truly appreciated her willingness to decline working with me if the dogs didn’t get along, as it made me feel even more secure about leaving my precious pet in her care.

Janine is not only communicative but also incredibly sweet, sending regular updates and photos of my dog (as much or as little as I wanted). Always making sure that I felt comfortable at all times. Don’t normally write reviews but in this case, I had to make an exception. My dog Luna is like my child so the idea of dropping her off at one the boarding centers seems like dropping her off at jail. It used to make traveling a nightmare. Then I met Janine and Dog Days of Gulfport. It’s very clear from the first moment that you introduce your dog that she cares more about your dog that she does you. (That’s a good thing) Compared to some of the other “Dog Hotel” businesses that care about you and your money and not your dog. She tracks feeding times, walking, schedules, personality quirks, and when you come back to pick up, she will probably tell you something about your dog that you never noticed. It’s extremely reassuring knowing that she will take better care of your dog than you do. (And I pamper the shit out of my dog)

Her duty of care is fantastic but something that genuinely impressed me was how flexible she is. I had something come up unexpectedly that required me be in another part of the country the following day. I called Janine and she changed her plans for the day so that she could meet me during a tight window of time...

Janine at Dog Days of Gulfport (DDOG) is the best dog sitter we have ever known. I get anxious when leaving our girl Nina behind. Nina is 14 years old so I hate to leave her with anyone period.
