Extra Space Storage — Local services in Saint Petersburg

I had to set this storage space up (in St Pete FL) by calling ahead from Atlanta GA. After calling the National Sales Call Center and starting the process with a very helpful rep by the name of Junior, he had the local onsite person, Brad, call me to get everything set up. Brad called within minutes of getting the word that I wanted to set up a space to rent. Brad was extremely helpful! He was polite, professional, courteous, patient and answered all my questions! He was not pushy and I felt he was answering all my questions honestly. Brad made the process so easy and I felt very confident I made the right choice to go with "Extra Space Storage." I had checked out a few others that day, but Brad had me sold, "hands down!" He represented Extra Space in the best way possible! So, now I have paid for a year in advance and feel completely at ease with the choice I made. Thanks Brad! I moved into a small storage unit a few weeks ago and got a 1 month free incentive, The Cube Smart also had an option to utilize a moving truck the day free of charge. When I showed up at the office the morning of my move, I was dismayed to find out that their moving truck was more like a van! Definitly not suitable for even a 1 bedroom move. On top of this issue, they would only permit a cash deposit to utilize it because credit cards are not permissable. I had the matter escalated to a manager who was not accommodating with me at all.

This was very frustrating to me, especially given the fact that I was flying out of the Tampa airport later that afternoon. Very stressful for a traveler and I was put in a situation where I was stressed out for time due to this inconvenience!

On top of it, the management team demonstrated almost no sympathy or concern at all! I am very disappointed in the poor customer service!!

Booking storage with Extra Space was so quick and easy! I reserved a unit online and I got a confirmation phone call within 15 minutes. Brad was very helpful and informative and after confirming with him I was all ready to swing by the office, sign the documents and pick up my keys but that wasn’t even necessary! Brad sent me the contract via email, I signed electronically and when I got to the unit an hour later my name was on a tag that made it very easy to find and my key was inside waiting for me. The only way this could’ve been easier is if there was a limousine waiting for me when I left. I also must give kudos to them for the pleasant smell of cleanliness in the hallways and the elevator and true contactless service that was both safe...
