I want to share my experience at Wilmot Raceway in hopes that the customer service I received is addressed and proper training is conducted. I attended the event that was held on July 9th. I brought three guests with me. I spent $160.00 on admission tickets. My guests and I had planned on eating at the raceway. I spent 90 minutes in line at the concession stand. NINETY MINUTES. I missed most of the show. While I understand this was one of the busiest nights Wilmot has seen, I remained patient, but absolutely non tolerant of the way I was treated when I finally reached the food server/cashier. The woman who took my order was middle-age, long dark blonde wavy hair, she wore glasses. She did not greet me with a hello. She just stared at me until I began talking and giving her my food order. I ordered 2 hot dogs and 2 cheeseburgers. Her response was that she could give me 1 cheeseburger but all that was left was brats. This was a little infuriating, standing in line and missing the show only to be told the concession stand was "out of everything." I tried to order hot pretzels, she said they we're sold out. I asked her if more sandwiches or pretzels we're being made, she answered "no, and if they are it'll be awhile, maybe 30 minutes." THIRTY minutes? Her behavior was unspeakable and her attitude was extremely insulting. I took what she gave me (1 cheeseburger and 1 brat because they were "sold out" of everything else) and stepped to the side. THE VERY NEXT PERSON IN LINE ORDERED SEVERAL CHEESEBURGERS AND PRETZELS. They we're handed over to this customer without hesitation. I stepped back in line to ask why I had been denied this food when it was obvious they we're readily available. She went back in forth with her "manager" , a red head standing behind the grill. They we're mocking, pointing, and laughing at me. It was obvious they could pick and choose who they we're going to serve appropriately. It was absolutely horrendous. Each person behind me ordered and received all the items that I had just been explained to "we're sold out" minutes prior. I understand it was busy. But this woman has chosen to work food service at a concession stand. I spent $65.00 on food I didn't want. Her customer services skills we're despicable. I would even go as far to say that was the worst I have ever been treated by an establishment providing customer services. I worked in a similar environment as a teenager, this behavior would have never of been tolerated. Please address the extremely poor...
Read moreIf I could give a 0 I would. I applaud Wilmot Raceway for ALLOWING the type of racing that is happening and all around the complete and total bullshit that goes on behind the scene. I have NEVER been to a track that is HORRIBLY ran, horrible at communication, massive amounts of favoritism, can't follow threw with a DQ, ignoring a Tech official finding illegal parts, does not care if they loose cars, and has no respect for any other class than the dear old Sprint Cars. Your crowd count is down, your car count is down but it's ok as long as we have our beloved Sprints. They have no problem making rules as things happen that are not in a rule book that they haven't updated since 2001. I have never seen so many 2 faced people, bashing, downgrading and hurting the confidence of CHILDREN who are new to the sport instead of helping them. At any other track the racers will do anything to make sure you get back on that track if something breaks or you get wrecked, at this place- ya good luck there are a select few that still hold that part of racing! This track is all about the clicks and the drama- if your not in it then screw you. When you have officials and the announcer arguing on a call that was made but you over ride it because you have to have your dear old favorite win.... that says something all in itself. At the end of this season I have never hated a track more...
Read moreAlways love going to fair. Had alot of fun. Great food. We went out for 3 days this year. The overall fair was nice. I have to say though in the many times that I've gone out to see the demo derby this was one of the worst derby's that I've ever seen. It was lame and Sunday is always our favorite day because of the derby but not this year. They need to find a better promoter for the derby and give the fans what they want. They put all the cars in a little square and they don't have much room to move. I thought this was suppose to be the "100" year anniversary of the fair but there wasn't as many attractions as usual and the carnival was half of what it use to be. Less rides and games than usual. I will continue to go to the fair every year but we will not anticipate the demo derby anymore...
